TIE only mod (from tie striker)

By Pappkristof, in X-Wing

So the card with the TIE only restriction somehow increases your agility.

Maybe: When defending if your defense dice is less than the attacker's (attack) dice, roll an additional die.

At reasonable price it would be great on uncloaked phantoms and TIE/SFs (and TIE Strikers too.)

What do you think?

Soontir Fel needed this.

I hope not because i plan on getting 4 TIE/sf and that would probably push me to get for of the strikers as well which I'm not planning on. Unless of course FFG releases a ground assault compatible with x-wing, then i would load up on strikers.

Soontir Fel needed this.

Soontir has base 3 agility and he is not often attacked by 4 dice.

Soontir Fel needed this.

Which is why there's a clear restriction, possibly "cannot equip if agility is 3 or higher"

It looks more like 'cannot modify your defence dice' - which is pretty bad for a modifier-laden interceptor.

It's probably best for an agility 2 generic - one with relatively few dice modifiers; a TIE Shuttle (because a bomber will want either Long Range Scanners or Guidance Chips) or Special Forces TIE (although that might be better with Sensor Clusters)

Tie punisher fix?

Tie punisher fix?

Fie Tunischer pix!

Tie punisher fix?

The problem is that a TIE punisher generally wants ordnance to be effective, and if it carries ordnance, Guidance Chips or Long Range Scanners are probably a better buy.

At the same time, it's not a bad idea for a bomber laden with mines or bombs - so Deathrain might like it!

No. It doesn't look like that. The last line looks o be showing an "o", to me. I think it's more likely that it's "or", as in, "you cannot equip this if your agility is 3 or higher"

.....hmm....

Maybe. If that's the case, it's a **** nice card. I still maintain that ordnance boats will want their ordnance-related mods, but it's a **** good card for an agility 2 TIE - or an accuracy corrector equipped punisher.

TIE Shuttle.

Like other new mods, this may be FFG's attempt to bring jousting ships back. That would reintergize ships from the initial wave and piggy-backs on the real strength of Defenders too. Just a thought..

Depending on the wording it may even make the sf worth looking at.

Lightened Frame?

Lightning fromage.

Light And Frothy

man, if I have to choose between the Lightning Fridge and Adaptive Ailerons, I'm going Ailerons every time. Why can't we have both?

Edit: oh, I didn't notice Ailerons are a "title." What a weird title.

Looks like a title

Smells like a title.

I am sure it would be a mod. Sounds like a mod.

exactly.

Somewhere, apparently, there's a mad Imperial engineer: "I have named this ship Adaptive Ailerons, after its Adaptive Ailerons, just like the thousands that came before it!"

Lightened Frame?

Judging by the position of the words on the card, I'm thinking it's "Lightweight Frame" for the name of the card.

Smells like a title.

Then it's probably a turtle.

Just noticed the two Focus Tokens.
Whats up with that?
