Yeah, me too! The flippable card from the Tie Striker makes me think that they can add a flippable s-foils card that does more or less the same thing.

And then they can have a T-65 X-Wing only title that makes X-Wings good again. And a chardaan refit for X-Wings that makes them cost less than 20 and a swarm of X-Wings becomes a thing in the metagame. The possibilities are limitless...

I am pretty sure at this point we can safely use these terms for future ship abilities. This is a thing in the game now.

I hate to say it, but i kinda hope they don't do any more xwing expansions. I have 3 already and don't know what I'd do with a 4th as I don't play epic.

I'd prefer if they did a cards only update OR have an alternate version of the original xwing expansion that has eveyrthing the same, except the model could be the new black and white version.

I know there's always the option to simply not buy it, but you know it would have some great new toy for the xwings that would make flying your old ones pointless unless you get this expansion.

Oh boy do I hopee this can give the wing its fix!

I also hope whatever the fix is, that it comes with 2 or 3 in the box!

If you look at the model (not the card art), it's actually slightly different to a standard X-Wing (look at the wing detail near the engines and the extra raised detail along the 'nose') ...

The Partisan X looks like it might be the factory model while the 'standard' Alliance X is somewhat stripped down. Or it's just a slightly different version, like T-65 A3 instead of A4.

And to my eyes the FO is way different than standard TIEs, I mean, it's got ANTENNAE!!!!

It'd be interesting to see a new release, but there's not supposed to be long between Rogue One and a new hope, so different variants would seem a bit wierd.

I'll be interested to see if there's a backstory to the "where did the X-wing come from" in Rebels (or maybe Rogue One!) - Rebels is supposed to cover where the Y-wing came from, after all.

I'm not sure I'm a massive fan of the Zebra-skin X-wing. But it may grow on me.

Y-wing was war surplus, natch. The BTL-S3 and BTL-A4 were obviously later versions of the BTL-B that the Empire/Republic fielded for a limited time before moving to TIEs. Rebels acquired them like they did the transports from Alderaan, by 'stealing' them or just outright buying them and modifying them. No big mystery, those ships we see in ANH may have been 2 decades old since coming out of the factory and falling apart. Half of the rebel budget was duck tape.

What I mean is that the Rebels season 3 trailer actively shows them going and looting a squadron of Y-wings, and we know they were clone wars ships. By comparison, the X-wing is something never seen historically prior to A New Hope (and now Rogue One), so we haven't seen (in the new canon) how it ended up in the Rebel arsenal.
