How can a character gain fortune dice related to characteristics?

I mean these kind of fortune dice that you note on the character sheet in these little squared boxes next to the diamond shaped boxes.

These are not Fortune points as much as Fortune dice. You get them when you buy the 'Fortune' advance referenced in the bottom left hand side of the career sheet (under Advances). You mark it in the box next to the appropriate characteristic on your character sheet, and thereafter whenever you roll for that characteristic you get a free Fortune die to add to the pool.

Aye, I meant these white dice directly assigned to characteristics and not the real fortune points.
