Weird thought about wave 10, T65s and B-wings

By Cubanboy, in X-Wing

First super excited, past that I am curious with the current ships coming out having low Agi does that give us a new place for T-65s and B-wings. I know this is strange but hear me out before we poo poo the idea.

First let's assume that people are going to want to play with the new ships coming out wave 9 and more in wave 10. The Striker looks like it's going to be cheap as the PS8 is 23 points, it does have movement but has low agi, this is true for most of the ships coming out low agi seems to keep them in check from being Overpowered. If this is the case where new ships coming out are limited by Agi could we see X-wings and B-wings coming back into the fold. X-wing has the good grace to be a heavy hitter but is cheaper at 21 when we look at the Bids 98 is a good spot to be and the B-wing is still good for stats and has some amazing pilots that can hang out thanks to the b-wing title. Could we see these ships coming back because they can dish damage and have a good PS where they lose out to something like Triple U-boats.

IDK but I feel like the X-wing and Bwings are solid picks for damage output and they have excellent Droids and are not as useless.

If you don't lose the old ships, the new ships mean nothing

I understand this thought. I was hoping though we bring all the ships to the table not just the newest.

Regardless of new ships not flying older ships is on you.

Right now for my rebel fleets they are extremely old x-wing heavy, i am really liking that ship. If you want to fly x-wings and b-wings they fly them.

More low agility ships in the meta does not infer that other low ability ships have become more viable. The X-wing and B-wing suffer from being rather inefficient jousters and nothing we have glimpsed in Waves 9 & 10 looks set to change that.

There are some small buffs coming their way such as Vectored Thrusters but that will likely be used mostly on named ships to give them a repositioning move at high PS ( and even then it competes with the near-mandatory Integrated Astromech).

If you like X-wings and B-wings, go ahead and fly them. Plenty of the named pilots have great abilities that make up for the deficiencies of the ships they are flying. But overall I don't see anything boosting the generics much.
