I really hope it's something cooler than that...
No one is doubting it will have an X-Wing (T-70 or not) in it, but we already have two different Y-Wing variants and I don't want FFG encouraging TLTs.

That's exactly why we need update to Rebel Ys. So that other options don't suck in comparison!
can anyone remember how many missing/unknown SKUs there have been for X-wing? I think the Force Awakens Core Set was 'missing' for a while until it was leaked on Reddit. (SWX36)

I think my favorite would be an X-wing, Y-wing double pack. Not sure why it would be double-secret unless the pilots are somehow super spoilery. I don't really need a fifth X-wing but oh well. And I'll have five Y-wing models but not enough gold squadron cardboard to run 5 Y's with autoblasters anyway...
If we see something drop around the movie premiere date and have had no leaks at all, kudos to FFG.
At first, I thought it may be a scum aces (or veterans) pack.
Then, I saw the Partisan Xwing and thought it may be that.
Now though, I think it is just an abandoned product number. FFG has abandoned a product idea before - The " Map Tile s" if you recall - leaving a free SWX product code.
This has been debated ad naseum for months (way before Rogue Friday of this year) but I still think a new core is a possibility. Sure, I get the "but there are already two", "how could they have kept that under wraps", "there won't be a new core each year with each movie", "this makes no sense to me" arguments but still believe that this is a great marketing/onboarding opportunity and FFG & Disney would be hard-pressed to pass it up.
As others have said, this could also be an evil easter egg planted by FFG to mess with us. And it's working.
Has FFG ever skipped a product SKU just to mess with people? Whats the purpose in keeping it a secret? possible reasons:
1. the product viability is in question. its tied up in legal limbo for some reason or there's been a possible production/shipping problem.
2. the product contains spoilers. This makes sense if its Rogue One related.
3. The product competes with existing/upcoming products. Lets say its a boring old Core Set with 1 X-wing and 2 Strikers. perhaps revealing it would hurt the upcoming Striker release? (im reaching here ok)

Won't be another 'core set', if for no other reason than those are major marketing blitzes that get into Targets, Wal*Marts, almost all Barnes & Noble stores, etc. I mean, FFG may well do such a thing again in the future, but...I doubt it, this time. Those chains are SO big, with SO many employees, keeping a secret that is distributed that widely? Impossible. And SWX58 is still secret. So it's not gone to the Targets/Wal*Marts/etc, which means it's not a core set.
It could still be entirely possible it's something like a 'Most Wanted' expansion - as I noted up-thread, there are several anomalies we are tracking, here. The TIE Striker we got, for example, being wrong for the colors in the movie, and lacking the turret that the movie model has. And FFG would never pass up an opportunity to do the Partisan T-65 paint scheme. So some kind of combo kit is well within the realm of possibility...

Oh, I'm ABSOLUTELY certain that will happen. We just don't know what form it will take. No way FFG isn't doing an X-Wing in that scheme, though.

If you read 'Catalyst', you'd know that while Saw Gerrera may have later been associated with the Rebellion (IE., maybe during the events of 'Rogue One') - he unquestionably starts out a bog standard bounty hunter/smuggler/scum.
(To be fair, 'Catalyst' covers a portion of his career that mentions no 'partisans', so who knows - but Saw is Scum at that point, anyway.)
