My local meta SWEARS by XI7. They love it. I love it too, frankly, because I fly an ISD and that's a lot of dice.

I'm flying an ISD II, a Glad I, and a full squadron list of named guys.

My question is this: Will I get more value out of XI7 on the ISD or Avenger? The XI7 comes into play almost every time, but the Avenger can be a bit of a game changer. My friend argues that with the squadrons attacking a ship, the Avenger is more powerful than it appears because they're NOT using tokens they otherwise would against the squadrons out of fear of the avenger.

Thoughts?

I do not want to rise above 390, and I don't really want to sacrifice my squadrons anymore. That's why I'm trying to pick one of the two upgrades for the ISD

How often do you use those Boosted Coms? Can you control maneuver of ISDII &/or Fighters to compensate?

The boosted comms are super important. What I'm thinking of doing right now is dropping Mauler and the Advanced and then putting in Bossk and Avenger with XI7.

I would take either or, not both... given your setup, looks like xi7 is better... your opponent won't need to brace versus your fighter wing, so avenger will mostly just block redirects... but gunnery teams, you will be firing at two ships quite often, the second I presume not having spent their redirects, will be immune to avenger...in which case you'll wish you had xi7... avenger gets better the more bombers, sprays you put on target... with suppressor we get a really good way to block braces... I like it on isdi, more damage once brace is blocked...

But I don't know... Maybe you should just give it a go for a few games and see... You may be surprised
