It says in the SOB rulebook that a hero visiting the shipyard may purchase one ship upgrade. Beside the gold cost on the ship upgrade cards, there is also an XP cost. Does the one hero pay the XP cost, or do all party members pay the XP similar to the Tamalir upgrades in RTL? The book makes no mention of spending XP for ship upgrades.

I would guess its the same as the Tamalir upgrades, so everyone pays.

Agreed. The upgrade benefits the entire party like a Tamalir upgrade. My assumption is that the entire party must each pay the XP cost.
