World building

By Comrade Cosmonaut, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I hadn't seen this posted here before, but it's likely to have made an appearance.

If you're unfamiliar, it's a tool for the d6 game Stars Without Number. This fame has, easily, some of the best tables and tools for randkly generating planets, moons, etc.

Now, of course you needn't roll on the tables, but should you elect to, or not, they make pretty surprisingly solid locations. This online tool rolls on the game's tables and generates an entire sector.

They also have solid rules for organizations as well.

You seem to have left off the link...

Yeah, Link please :)

Yes, apparently several features of the forum don't work well with my phone's browser. Sorry about that.

Dolphin to the rescue.

I think it's the one you can get for free at DriveThruRPG:

It's not a Star Wars game but it includes "World building resources for creating system-neutral planets and star sectors" so I think this is it.

ETA: I think I found the online generator too:

Yay for Google!

Worth it just for the NPC name generator on the Emicrhon link.

I think the book you might be thinking of is Planets of the Galaxy? Is has their handy planet generator. I think the Galaxy Guide for scouts has a system generator using the same set of rules.
