Trying to be as unique as I can with them and still hold some points is my challenge.

With Echo at PS 6 and the bid I would think I'd be okay with Whisper at 9.

What about just SPA on Echo, not cloaking or decloaking as often but do get the Extra evade when I do one or the other which could free up points to do something else?

With the three points left, why not upgrade the TIE to black-crack? Honestly I like that with your phantom layouts. Translation: I'm stealing this idea

Feel free to try it. The last thing you want as a phantom is being shot at first, losing a bid is bad and Soonter, Dengar, Vader ect being allowed to shoot first without something like Adaptability or VI is potentially dangerous.

I have tried this a few times, it may have potential, but I am a newbie, so who knows....

I switched it up a bit. I went with:

Whisper: VI, Kallus, FCS, ACD

Echo: Lone Wolf, Recon Spec, FCS, ACD

Mauler Mithel: Crack shot

Its a full 100 so no initiative bid, but enough dice mod in there. I could downgrade the TIE for initiative or to switch Rec Spec to a rebel captive, but I like the focus for offense and defense there. Thoughts?

It's nice Ronu. I like that you went gunner whisper and not Kallus. You could go VI and Intel Agent on Echo to free up three points, then upgrade Academy to Epsilon for that extra shield and sloops while keeping the 3pt bid. I love Intel with Echo, and it will help your blocker know exactly where to go.

My double phantom list + TIE is:

Whisper w/ VI, FCS, captive & ACD = 42

Echo w/ PTL, sensors, recon & ACD = 43

Academy = 12

Whisper kills aces, Echo kills generics and academy tries its best to block enemies.

I also like Echo w/ Lone Wolf, Jammer, captive & ACD = 43

LW, Jammer and Rebel Captive all have nice synergy that lets Echo survive surprisingly well against an enemy that manages a shot on him before he cloaks.

Someone else mentioned switching the FCS for the Jammer, can the build survive at a 1pt bid?

Maybe if you're really good at getting blocks (don't forget Echo can fulfill this role too). However, if you really like the bid, stick with your original list. Or use mine. I presented it as an alternative

Or if you really like playing x-wing, you can try both and see what suits you better (that's what I do! )
