Best Armada Youtube Channels?

By SoonerTed, in Star Wars: Armada

X-Wing is an older, and more mature game with a larger following than Armada so it makes sense that YouTube would have a plethora of channels.

Finding quality Armada channels has been challenging. What channels do you watch? What quality are they?

Steve McLachlan's batreps are good. Miniwargaming is also nice, but they don't do a lot of them.

I like Sterling Knight Gamers myself

I would echo what Rocmistro said. Steve McLachlan, aka Steven Skyshuffler, puts out pretty regular streams of his games. Good solid overhead cam lets you see everything pretty well. He is actually great to watch live on Twitch, as there is always a pretty lively chat going on as well.

Miniwargaming has some coverage, but they don't do a lot, and it's actually been a couple of months now since their last video. I have a feeling that the fans of that channel are so entrenched in GW stuff, that they don't get enough followers/new vault members to maintain much coverage from Armada. Maybe they will put some new content up soon with the new waves out.

I have never been impressed with any of the others I've watched.

My channel is no where near the best but I am on hiatus until I can get a better computer. Then I can do more complex things.

I like Crabbok when he talks armada. Though he does a mix bag of stuff.

The best part of Steve's channel is when his daughter makes cameos and doesn't want to go to bed.

Isn't that every time?

Yep. Hence the plural "cameos" :-)

She's less of a cameo and more of recurring character.

I do X-Wing, Armada, and Imperial Assault, but lately I've been leaning a little more heavily on Armada.

You hae a good voice to listen too. And good quality videos. (the actual video quality)

Crabbok, I like your stuff, but you don't seem to actually have much in the way of actual Armada batreps. You have a lot of meta game stuff (speculation, analsysis, unboxing) and a lot of X Wing stuff, but very few batreps (at least from what I've seen). Can you do more batreps please?

Some Steve guy and people on this occasional podcast usually do things....

I plan on doing more, but they'll likely be shorter summary-type batreps until I can manage to get a better way to capture a full game from overhead.

Cool. If I can make a suggestion, you're 10 minute batrep (the one where you annhilated the guy with the nicely painted MC80 liberty in black and glowy blue) was good, but show the movement of ships a little more. This is the best way for the viewer to visually track what is going on and how the battle is evolved. We don't need to see the dice rolls, the issuance of commands, the usage of defense tokens, but if I could get: deployment, activation order and movement, that would be great. I imagine a 25 minute batrep is easily digestible for most.
