"Wolf Pack" Imperial List

By GammonLord, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Im normally a 100% Reb player, but with an increasing amount of Imperial hardware laying about i thought i'd put it to good use.

Aim of this list: Interdictor slows enemy with G7 and G8, allowing Demo and friends to hunt them down at their leisure. Darth (a personal fighter favourite) and TIEs along with Raider will hopefully stave off any overly enthusiastic fighters.

Comments and suggestions welcome!

Do you remember how pitiful a single tractor is? G8 on its own also is.

G7s control which half of the battlefield is in rather than speed.

Also would run targeting scrambler in this list. Find the points!

Edit: NVM I found them. Drop Vader to howlrunner, run Targeting Scrambler. Intel Officer/Montferrat on Demo also a viable way to spend points

I would agree with @Mad on two key points here. Firstly, you're running a list that wants to get in and amongst your opponent's fleet, and targeting scrambler is a brilliant way of reducing the risks that poses at close range (I should know - I had it used against me depressingly effectively). Secondly, whether you're hunting for points or not, I think Howlrunner for Vader is an excellent shout - it buffs all your TIEs, rather than just being a standout unit on its own.

I do love ol' Darth as a fighter pilot... but aye, you're right, Howlrunner is a better (and cheaper) bet.

Will swap out the G8 and take the Scrambler! It does fit with the "up close and personal" nature of Demo and friends more.

Ginks, if you happen to be in the Exeter area ill be about for a game!

I feel like if you're running an Interdictor in a screed list you might as well take a blue crit ion cannon upgrade

Never gonna happen Gammon. Its Exeter, what were you thinking!

Admittedly it is a little out of the way...

I'm in Newton abbot if you ever fancy a game

The list doesn't cry Wolf Pack to me, I'd be tempted to drop the Interdictor altogether and bring in either another Gladiator and a few Villains (with Rogue) or 2 Raiders, drop Screed for Ozzel. Wolf packs dart in, cripple their prey and dart away. WWII submarines used the same tactic.

That is how I see 'Wolf Pack' otherwise, agree with the other comments.

(caveat everything with.'If you like it, fly it and see)
