Programming intelligent software to assist slicers

So will the AI actually roll separately or is it just accomplishing a single task automatically?

Yes ... and ... no... ? Either or both, depending on design and use... I'm not sure. Ideas?

See I can't go for the disembodied AI thing. If there's going to be that making choices/independent skill roll I'd need it to be something. Now a Rubik cube sized droid that has an eye, can't walk, and is a smart ass, is perfect for that I think.

2P51 Now you are making me think of a holocron sith rubix cube.

As to the power of slicers that depends on creativity.

We have had slicers find maps of terrirory, shut of cameras, find people/things by using cameras, lock an enemies nav computer, remotely send a slaved ship into a sun, open blast doors, restore to full funcionality the main terminal in a jedi temple, give boost dice to people looking for goods, by checking the net, jamm communications, interpret imerpial communications. remotely Reprogram battle droids before a battle to assist the group.

Also while computers might not substitute for a specific knowledge skill it can usually assist most times.

Nearly ever piece of advanced tech in star wars uses computers. It is really powerful when used well.

It's Blue Max. A droid character from the Brian Daley Han Solo novels.
