Miranda, how do you like yours??

Finally got some flying time in with miranda, together with Dash, and must say, that after flying Defenders, I thoroughly enjoyed myself, lots of fun with bombs, have never tried bombs before, so thought I would give them a go.

I tried her with Super Dash, which only left 42 pts for Miranda, but was at the Polish nationals this weekend, and one of the guys there, (maybe more than one), but the guy i knew, flew her without a TLT, and saved points for bombs.

I was very sceptical, thinking she must need the TLT, but she flew actually quite fine without it.

So, how do you like to fly your Miranda, and which bombs do you prefer, and why???

The reason I say that the TLT is absolutely necessary is for her ability. If you don't have it, then you're not regening. A 1 die attack is not even worth the attack... The one exception I could see would be if you equipped her with an Auto Blaster Turret. Otherwise why both flying Miranda - you might as well fly a Warden if you want a bomber. Miranda's ability makes her more durable if you can use it, and you can't use it effectively without the TLT.

Then for the combo of Seismics + Conner's - I like having a before you reveal your dial bomb, and an action based bomb. It allows you to get pretty much anyone (except for Whisper) with one or the other. Note I 100% think the extra point for Thermal Detonators is worth it, and I would upgrade the seismics in a heartbeat if I have the point available.

I'm on a huge Miranda kick right now. She holds her own. And if you fly her right, every point you put on her makes her that much better - so I just load her up.

My preferred build is similar in points cost but more range based. The problem is that with Rebel fighters costing so much I can't afford much of an escort so it's rare I will field her in that build. The Lite version is still quite effective though.

You can. But then we get to throw things at you. It's up to you if you want to be that person or not. Let us know so we know if we need to stock up on throwable items.

i prefer using ion cannon turret on miranda. 4 atk dice ion is no joke, even to autothruster equipped aces. You will see them drop F E and maybe even palp just to dodge that, and now they are wide open to subsequent attacks from the rest of your squad. Throw in a Jan Ors HWK for a 5 atk ict, and that's where things get funky

Ok well ill slightly contributed by saying cant wait to try flying her along side an Arc and Biggs sounds fun

Let me know what list you come up with. The points required to make those individual ships viable don't bode well...

Dunno 'bout that. I flew her next to Janson and Biggs quite nicely. Biggs and Thane sound like fun wingmates.

I finally got my 2 k wings yesterday! I had great fun pairing her with a warden and a T-70.

She was cheap, only TLT and Adv Slam, but her ability to zoom off to the other end of the map, slaloming through the asteroids made her my favourite pilot so far in the game. She's so hard to pin down!

I spent 65 minutes dodging a pair of TIE Bombers with homing missiles without them ever firing a shot at Miranda. One even flew off the map trying to k-turn and try to surprise her. Would still have been out of range anyway. Definitely a fun ship to fly!
