Agreed. If I had two or three more Tie Bombers I would love to try them with Ordinance and Bombs - until then, 55-point Miranda Doni will have to do!

One of the people I play regularly gets a twitch in his left eye when he sees me show up with bombs. I've done horrible, terrible things to his squads with them.

Conner Net and Seismic Charges are great. I haven't used Proton Bombs yet but they look good.

Not sure about roll for damage bombs like Proximity Mines and Cluster Mines, the best thing about bombs is the automatic damage.

I like mixing Defenders with Bombers for my EPIC Impstir HUGE Ship Attack Squads.

Watch that video; it is a great example of fine bombing and flying in the 100 point arena.

personally my favourite bomb will always be the proton bomb, it's great when Corran Horn or the Inquisitor or Vader (or any two hulled ship) draws a direct hit and dies from it.

Cluster Mines have been proven fairly unsuccessful due to the fact that they only trigger on hits and there is a good chance you won't do any damage.

They cost 4, which is the same as a Conner Net, which has guaranteed damage and ion effect when it hits.

I prefer the Conner Net, but when squad points are tight, Prox Mines do the job for me.

Proximity Mines are 3 points and it is still a roll of the dice, but with hits and crits included, have a better chance of doing damage than Cluster Mines.

I had a recent game facing Dash (YT2400) with HLC and had Deathrain (Tie Punisher) with Prox Mines in my list.

Dash was down to only hull and I banked in and dropped the prox mine on top of him before he moved.

He rolled 3 natural crits, one of which was Blinded Pilot - which kept him from firing the HLC while my back was to him.

Next Turn, I was able to get Deathrain K-turned and the rest of my ship in position to finish him off.

Luck like that doesn't happen all the time, but I have had more successes than failures with Prox Mines.

I have killed more than a few small ships before they could even move.

Action card bombs? Go Connor or go home! Rhey make Deathrain a good area denial ship to the Soonts squad and occasionally Deathrain vomits one all over someone.

I want to like Thermals' stress control, but dial reveal bombs are very hard to land.

I would be flying my bombers more often if I could get more copies of thermal detonators without having to buy a whole ghost. Quadjumper will be my ticket to more of those 3 point beauties.

Having some fun with bombs - even did pretty well in an incomplete game with triple jumps (best showing ever for me)

Question - what's the best ride for Sabine though when there are two K-Wings? I feel throwing her into the frontline recklessly close on such a high point boat is asking for losing an essential part of annoying my opponent. Aside from the bombing Ks though limited to B-Wings, Hawks, Attack Shuttles and maybe, a very slim YT-1300 smuggler. At this point, I'm thinking the K-Wing is still best!

I put Sabine on TLT Miranda

Miranda can stay out where it's safe and contribute very effectively with TLT, plus she has high PS regen and SLAM to keep herself safe

also seismics. No one wants to go after a Sabine seismic Miranda :P

Fascinating... Fickle, I would have expected more bombs from you. My K-Wings need reinforced wings with all the ordnance I've got loaded on and I'm spending near all of it during the match.

I too would love more bombs

sadly, the generic K is almost sadistically overpriced and A-SLAM costs a whole seismic charge, so that's all I could fit between the two Ks and Biggs

without Biggs, I find my poor Conner K just gets incinerated on approach by concentrated fire :(

regardless, four bombs have proven more than enough for just about any imperial list (even defenders)

ofc, it's never enough for the 27 health of a torp scout list (or 40 for two scouts party bus :( ) but that's just a bad matchup. Not even dengaroo is that bad in comparison (double damage going through defenses and auto-blasters hitting through greens mows him down surprisingly quickly)

Bombs are ridiculously fun to play. I made Top 16 at a regional with a bomb list and had a great time.

Conner nets into a proton bomb is crazy fun. I am currently 9-1 with my bombing K wings.
