Cloak + Seismic Torpedo or bomb.

By Jadotch, in X-Wing

This can be a nasty little loophole around the "cannot attack while cloaked" rule.

Sabine Crew in Sabine's Tie fighter plus the illicit cloak and the bomb of your choice sounds like it could be pretty nasty.

Or a Protectorate and a seismic and a cloak.

It may not be tournament worthy, but it make make a neat little gimmick.

Protectorate doesn't have an illicit :(

But, seismic torpedos and bombs are viable, since they aren't attacks.

wait, how is it a nasty little loophole?

you're not attacking; you're dropping a bomb. they're not even vaguely related

you know, if you weren't cloaked, you could drop a bomb AND attack

mind (pardon the pun) blown :o

seriously, only way this matters at all is if the Stolen Tie title actually does work as speculated (can't be attacked by lower PS pilots until you attack); THEN the fun can truly begin

Hey, it might matter for the Quadjumper! :P

Or in the right ship, drop a bomb, fire a seismic torpedo, attack, then attack again!

Right, the funny/thematic thing about Sabine's Masterpiece is that you can put the PS7 pilot in there with VI and then the title, and suddenly you have a TIE Fighter that can't be attacked by almost anything until either it attacks, or it's the last thing on the board. Then, you throw Sabine in as a crew and load a Proton Bomb in there and fly your TIE straight into an enemy TIE Swarm. Because they apparently have the IQ of a kiwi, they won't know you're an enemy and you can drop the Proton Bomb right in their midst.

...except that your opponent will see it coming and scatter his ships, and this one bombing run trick is hilarious, but would probably cost you around 27pts or something. .....s'funny though.

If my opponent scattered their formation of TIEs to prevent this, they've just made it possible for the remaining 70+ points of my squadron to go after them one-by-one in a classic divide and conquer maneuver. That seems rather better than just a funny maneuver to me...

It looks like that card is connected to the condition. I have a feeling that you will be able to put the condition on a single ship at a time and then that one ship will be unable to attack you until certain conditions are met. That could still be cool and all but it won't be unattackable ship cool.

It's not, Rex pilot card is most likely connected to conditions. The Captured TIE doesn't allow anyone with lower pilot skill to target you, it is discarded after performing an attack or when your other ships are destroyed.

If Ahsoka has a decent support ability I could see using her as an invincible Sabine carrier (with a bomb to mess with the opponent's flying) to support a pair of loaded K-wings.

The condition token has a picture of the TIE Fighter on it instead of a character picture like the conditions from Kylo Ren and Hux do. It also looks like the text on the condition card says "Captu" not "Capta".

EDIT: Looking at it some more it does look like the art on the token matches the art on the Captain Rex pilot card. The Rex crew uses the word "assign" just like the A Score to Settle and Kylo Ren do so it's possible it comes from the crew and pilot.

This condition token doesn't have a picture of just any TIE Fighter, it has the same picture Rex's pilot card has.

I more or less know the full text of Captured TIE :P

Curse you and your multi-lingual spoilers!

Would you mind translating what you can see of the EMP card? It looks like instead of attacking you can discard it to give all the ships at range one Ion tokens or something. It looks like much more of the text is exposed in your image.

Instead of attacking discard to give 2 Ions to everyone in Range 1.
