*Due to lack of detailed source material, I will not be using the events of the movies or the new Disney Cannon ™ as a main source of reference, so as to allow me more freedom in establishing my campaigns history and timeline.

After doing research using the resources cited above on the topic of Starships service dates (prototypes, production start, operational use, production end…) during the SW Legends Rise of the Empire and Rebellion Eras, I have found no consolidated reference source that is more precise than vague timelines such as “during the time of”, “during the X era”, ‘before the battle of X”, “after the battle of X” and “developed in response to X” and the like.

While this is perfectly ok for the movies, stories, books and games set in those eras, I am looking for something more informative for use in my SW campaign I am working on, set in the 19-09 BBY Legends timeline (as a baseline timeline).

I am aware that I as the GM can make up anything I want “as the story/campaign needs”, and I will of course do so, I am also trying to get a general sense of available information to better guide my efforts.

The reason for this research is since I will be setting my campaign in an alternate timeline set roughly 10 years before the events of the Battle of Yavin and in the Age of Rebellion Core Rulebook, not all the people, places, events and Starships/Starfighters detailed in the above references will be available at the time the events of my campaign take place.

I will be creating a work in progress list of Starships/Starfighters on the second post that I will be updating as I do more research and get feedback (and as time allows, due to work hours and limited time off).

​Added lots of new ships and starfighters , still working on getting the formatting to look good, and I updated some of the timelines/era.

Yes, Disney has changed quite a few things around (no complaints, I am enjoying the new novels, graphic novels, shows and storylines); but for now I am sticking with the more established (and stable) Legends information.
