Imperial Heroes Struggle Against Terrorism

By Asvaldr, in Imperial Assault Campaign

A thing that would be great for Campaign and Skirmish is a box release with Imperial Heroes. The valiant story some imperial citizens/military who have said, "enough is enough" and have vowed to stop the terrorism. Or special team of individuals has been assembled to take a more covert and surgical approach to stopping the terrorists.

For campaign, this campaign would be really fun to play and write.

The rebellion isn't a heroic struggle, its the act of Terrorist cells trying to destroy our way of life. They kill civilians living and working with their Military family members.

I'm sure each Death Star had alot of non-military things on it..... etc etc

There really could be some fun twists on perspective that would make this great. So many story options ...... "The hunt for Osama Luke Skywalker, leader of the terrorist cell that destroyed the Imperial Mobile Base."

For skirmish, imperials obviously need more characters to add flavor and more competitive play options. (All the characters except the inquisitor are over costed and un-usable. If for some reason there's a debate on this, please start another post).

I think this would make a really fun campaign and really help round out the factions in skirmish by giving Imperials access to competitive characters and could also be used to give rebels troops or vehicles that their faction is missing.

I'd love to hear other peoples ideas.

This sounds interesting. I think you might be better served doing one of the RPGs this way, though. You could of course use the figures and scenery from Imperial Assault for your encounters - but when it comes to wanting to write your own missions and such, this game doesn't really support that, does it? Sometimes I very much wish this game were more like an RPG.

This IS a quite neat idea, (same lines as the "anti hero" campaigns in D&D). The only issue is you would need an almost entirely new run of miniatures. There are not nearly enough rebel minis to be the antagonists in a campaign. Still, a great idea.
