I didn't get a pamphlet in my AdventurerToolkit

By Sepulcher, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Anyone know what the pamphlet says? I didn't get one and I need to know what the special rules are for the new careers and such. I actually didn't know I was missing it until someone else brought it up. Thanks in advance!

I am bumping this post since it suffered from the recent forum issue and was unreadable.

There's a pamphlet?

Actually it's a one small sheet double sided piece of paper that has some basic information on it. I referenced it another thread, and quoted from it.

I'll go get it and summarize if I can.

As I wrote this, it occurred to me that I could be breaking some forum rules. That is not my intent. Since Warhammer's rules are modular and card based I don't think this will be giving away any proprietary information since to actually use the product- you need the cards. Since some people didn't get the enclosed information sheet, I've typed it up. It's not a lot of information (that's all on the cards themselves), my hope is that it will clear up some confusion (or even draw interest in the product).

However, if I have done wrong, may FFG forgive me and this:

The front page has two columns. The entire left column has the contents of the kit. Since that is listed elsewhere on this website, I won't re-type or summarize.

Front Page, Right Column, there is a section entitled Using this Supplement.
Adding the new cards and components from The Adventurer's Toolkit to your existing Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay game is easy. The action cards, condition cards, career sheets, and party sheets can simply be added to the other cards and sheets of that type.

The 6 new wound cards should be shuffled into the existing wound deck, offering several new critical wound effects that may occur during play.

The 2 new item cards are associated with two of the new careers- the sturdy Dwarf Ironbreaker has a suit of gromril armour, while the High Elf Sword Master has a Greatsword of Hoeth.

The Small But Vicious Dog pet sheet and standup are used by the Ratcatcher career to manage his faithful friend and companion.

The punchboard components should be carefully removed from the frames. The different pieces can be added to your existing supply of tokens and pieces from Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, or stored in this box between sessions for your character.

Front Page, Right Column, there is a section entitled Set Icon:
The cards and sheets from The Adventurer's Toolkit are noted with a special "x" set icon. This allows you to quickly identify the supplement materials when adding or removing certain cards from your game experience.

Author's note: I can't reproduce the symbol here on the messageboard. It's a tiny pair of white crossed blades in a tiny dark circle.

Back Page, Left Column, there is a section entitled Career Item Cards:
Both the Ironbreaker and Sword Master careers feature special abilities based upon unique item cards. These careers require a high level of commitment. Once a character starts one of these careers, he cannot enter a different career until this career has been completed - it would be a breach of honour too great for a Dwarf or High Elf to bear.

The special item cards are represented by their own cards. Each card contains all the necessary game information for using these items during play.

Back Page, Left Column, there is a section entitled A Small But Vicious Dog
The Ratcatcher introduces a new type of career ability - a follower. The Ratcatcher's faithful Small But Vicious Dog has several special rules governing its use. These rules can be found on the back of the Small But Vicious Dog's follower sheet.

It is important to note that any advances spent to enhance or upgrade the Small But Vicious Dog count as Ratcatcher advances, as thus help the Ratcatcher accumulate the necessary number of advances to complete the career. If the character leaves the Ratcatcher career before completing it, his Small But Vicious Dog runs away. Once the Ratcatcher career has been completed, the Small But Vicious Dog becomes a permanent follower, as with any other career ability.

Back Page, Right Column, there is a section entitled New Action Cards
The Adventurer's Toolkit features a new selection of action cards, including several cards with distinct traits that are designed to interact with each other in exciting ways, representing unqiue fighting styles.

The Way of the Sword represents the masterful combat abilities of the Sword Masters of Hoeth. The Wardancers of Athel Loren practice various Ritual Dances. The elite dwarf Ironbreakers use abilities inspired by their Ancestors.

Finally, action cards with the Pet trait require an active pet, such as a Small But Vicious Dog, to use.
