This makes me incredibly sad. A comedic genius has been lost. Double featuring Young Frankenstein and Stir Crazy as soon as possible.
RIP Gene Wilder
**** 2016. RIP.

I've been playing youtube clips from his movies since I've heard, but now I'm stuck on repeating Pure Imagination, interspersed with songs from other movies of the time (such as Hushabye Mountain by **** van Dyke, Inchworm by Danny Kaye).
It'll be one of those nostalgia nights.
This was beautifully put btw:

add Blazing Saddles and you'll be describing my upcoming Saturday nightThis makes me incredibly sad. A comedic genius has been lost. Double featuring Young Frankenstein and Stir Crazy as soon as possible.
Triple feature it is. He has such a fantastic body of work, it's hard to choose which ones to watch at this time. Me, personally, I knew I had to watch Young Frankenstein, and at least one with Richard Pryor.
Edited by Audio WeaselHey, don't forget he also did an underrated comedy called the Frisco Kid with Han Solo.

2016 is going to go down in history as one really crap year.

It's only going to get worse as the generations that entertained us in our childhood are ageing and dying.
I can only imagine **** van Dyke, Julie Andrews, Angela Lansbury and so many others, so many greats, shuffling off this mortal coil in the next decade or so. ;(.

When Carol Burnett dies, I'm going to have to take the day off to process.
This is one of my forite movies of all time. He will be missed. Rest in peace over the Rainbow, Gene.
As a kid(7 years old) I was a fan of Aliens, Predator, Terminator, Nightmare on Elms street, ect...but THIS was the scariest moment of my childhood

It even scared poor Peter Ostrum! (Charly) Gene Wilder didn't tell Peter how he was going to play the scene before the 1st take. Imagine you're a kid actor and you get to work with a great guy, who so far has played a quirky but friendly character... and the Gene just unloads like that! The poor kid's reaction is genuine. But it made for a great scene.
I dunno man...... that boat ride......
That **** was creepy, but the heel-turn he made was down-right terrifying.

****...news to me. That makes it even better.

There's nobody at the moment I can think whose passing would impact me harshly, but then again, I still haven't finished Terry Pratchetts last book because I can't. I simply can't. After that book is finished, there'll be no more new words.
