Why Garm? Are you planning on engineering hard?

Honestly, he was all I could afford.....but lets go with what you said. j/k sort of. Yes the point value was the reason but it will be nice to have the nav, cf, and eng token right off the bat. I am not to concerned about getting hit with Q7's because my opponent would have to be in a large hull also. If that is the case I would be happy to slow down and trade dice at long range.

Maneuverability will be my biggest challenge but if I can manage to keep to the outside with the BC's I should be able to pull decent double arcs. the CC would hang back behind the BC's to provide flank protection.

Battle Report.

Pickle down, pickle down! The triple pickle met a firey end. I wend up against another garm list

MC80 - CC - Independance

Neb B - Yvaris

gr75

gr75

2 B wings, 1 wedge, dutch,1 Scrugs, 1 Jan, 1 Nym,2 yt1300's, 1 hwk

Basically I tested against the list that was the perfect counter to mine and to make it more difficult I chose 1st player and fleet ambush. The list performed moderately well. I lost one of the Battle cruisers early to poor deployment, but not before I put 6 damage, two crits, on the MC 80 and 2 damage on one GR 75. I did manage to swing the second BC around to finish off the MC8-0, the fresh GR 75, and then ram the damaged GR75 to death (that was fun). In the end all of his squadrons were left standing and the NEB.

In conclusion even though it was an epic loss I put myself in the worst possible position and still managed to kill off all of his ships except the neb. The interaction between the Home One and the Quad turbo lasers was spot on. every shot I was able to add a die for 6 out of my front arc and even the final death blow to a GR75 was courtesy of a rear concentrate fire add die that rolled an acc.

I really enjoyed the list and against a squadron heavy list it got its butt kicked, against a ship centric fleet like a interdictor suppression list, it think it would be very useful.
