Engine Techs as a weapon...

By Quantum Dot Guy, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

So, the ebb and flow of a deathmatch battle has brought my moderately damaged MC80 Defiance nose-to-nose with my opponent's heavily damaged ISD-II Relentless. I have just completed Defiance's maneuver, in which I remained motionless and crashed. Now, I do know the "proper" way to use an MC80, and I do know that slowly plowing into the front arc of an ISD-II is generally considered unwise, but an...incident with a now-destroyed Gladiator-II forced my hand.

My question is this: can I exhaust Engine Techs to maneuver a second time, resulting in another crash? My hull can take it, and I have initiative in the coming round; dealing this extra damage point now could easily mean that my next attack will be the coup de grĂ¢ce of the match.

Yes you can. Ramming Speed!

Thanks, guys! I did it, and it made all the difference. With the extra damage point, not even the Relentless's Redundant Shields were enough to withstand a concentrated volley on the rear from a flanking Assault Frigate mk. II, and Ackbar on the Defiance lived to fight again!

So long as you used a Navigate command that turn. Even if you didn't actually do anything with it. Even if it was a token....

Had a token in reserve, thanks to Raymus Antilles. In the end, he was actually the real hero of the battle.

I did a rather strange move today.

I rammed my own Flotilla twice while my ship was overlapping the base station. I repaired a critical card and a normal card and put two down on my own little litty bitty flotilla.

So engine techs can do weird stuff all 'round.

They do show an impressive amount of devotion to their work, don't they?
