Combat cruiser specification: A-18G9 & A-18G9

By Kiwi Rat, in Star Wars: Armada

Inspired by the little Ewok storm I caused and WW2 battle ships, here is a design where most of the firepower is to the front and rear, with wide side arcs that has only a modest amount of firepower. and less tanky. With a Liberty title Defence Token Layout.

This ship would be good at "chasing" or running away from things but not very good in a broadside engagement.

Please tell if there should be a change to the upgrade slot combo of max six.

Which fraction would it belong to? (I'm again pro Rebel on this, but your opinion do matter ;) )

Which ship from the excisting Star Wars universe would fit this profile?

Point value? (I'm venturing something in 120pts range on this one, but your opinion do again matter ;) )

Okay typo in the title :(

This one is actually not too bad. Well it is overpriced compared to other options. Maybe a bit over 100.

Can you do one of these posts for the Death Star? Cause I'm not sure if your others are powerful enough yet.

I admit, I have thought about aft firing ships, but it really is impractical! I can think of no time that I would want an enemy in my rear arc (even if the armament is good). I will be moving away from them after all. I see no reason to invest in a well armed rear arc.

With World War II battleships most of the firepower was to the sides (where all the turrets could bear) with only 1/2 or 1/3 of the guns available to the front and rear.

I know that, but the main gun armament where mounted fore and aft, so using this as inspiration, I represented this with a albeit limited traverse that only covers the front and rear arc.

Basically its a MC80 gun layout turned 90 degrees.

I hope you see where I'm going with this.
