Super Star Destroyer Model Picture
or 4 damage cards. It can also have Redundant shields and get shields from Interdoctor'sSo with 8 engineering, it can restore 6 shields a turn (with a token)!? Ouch =)
Yeah. It looks awesome, but feels a bit overpowered. Not sure if it actually is tho.
Over 300 points. In a 600 Point game I would be fine with it. 700+ It is starting to get REALLY powerful. . .
Opening Salvo and the engine teching corvette.
Sublime
A great model - but rather long in the tail when compared to Mel's. The card (which has a Mel-style Executor silhouette) makes that clear.
I wouldn't play this monster below 1000 points. I don't think a lesser fleet would stand a chance against it. 4-5 MC80s at least
The model was procured, mainly for the model. It will also be a center piece for an upcoming convention. After that it will get trotted out for friendly scenario based games :-)
That almost sounds like what I did the SSD which I got from Mel's Miniatures on Shapeways will be the main star of my Convention game this coming Saturday in Santa Clara,CA.
After my convention game it'll take part in a few games with my gaming group.
And who wouldn't want a SSD for their very own I ask you.
One of these days we are going to get a capital ship with a single red anti squadron die.

Really looking forward to getting that to the table. The single red is sort of ****, but the range is pleasing to my eye.
Wow dude! That is awesome!!!!
That thing is gorgeous!
This is a brief shot of my new SSD model. Painted by a good friend of mine. The model is 38" long and the base is scratch made.
I think it is quite awesome.....

Hi there
How did you find putting yours together. Mine took about two weeks to build. I had to use epoxy to glue the hull halves and the walls together. I reinforced the side walls with ribs to keep them in place while assembling the hull. The website pictures showed a blue grey hull color, so I contacted the guy to get the proper color code. I could not get the paint here in Canada unless I traveled 6 hours out of my way to get a $10.00 can of paint. So the best place for the paint was Home Hardware. A near perfect color match and only a 5 minute drive to get it. My base is different that yours I based mine on the outer, inner and command hulls. Combined all three in one base using cut and paste and the Excel computer program. Your base is about the same size as mine as well. Good job on the paint job, nice to see someone else bought the model.

It looks awesome. That is all. I guess I shall have to put my death star model together now.
Bloody magnificent.
Just clarifying that my friend, who runs Orion Paintworks did all the hard work. I don't want people to think I did the paint etc.
I do think he did the most amazing job though :-)
It's looking really nice , ggod work

But just for talking... should this or could this measure more like 3 times a ISD instead of 5 times. I really really really know the proportion is far from looking exact this way (no need answer to the proportion reference) but it will be, maybe, more playable on the table. When I look at the picture, you cannot play face to face for sure with this one and there is no way to turn. Yes... we could have (like in X-Wing) some specials rules for those kinds of Epic vessels. Or maybe not

Did you try to make one with a little bit less length?
But who am I to make that kind of suggestion, certainly not someone who have enough talent to make something looking that cool. Enjoy it and keep your imagination to create other awesome machine of destruction like this one. And we don't know... it could give FFG some ideas

I have the same model as well, at 38" it is almost 5 ISD placed end to end. and about 1 1/2 ISD wide, so it is a brute. The kit can be equipped with fibre optics , leds etc. I paid 450$ for mine but it is well worth the price. It is very detailed and has 48 pieces, but will require some skill putting it together. Crazy glue will not work for the hull , use epoxy glue and you will have to mark out the hull to determine assembly so it is a challenge to put together..
I want this so bad, and have the assembly and painting skills required. Hmm, money.... * starts planning a bank robbery*
Shockingly beautiful. And it nicely fits into the game as well
Too bad I'll never have 400 USD to spend on it
That is amazeballs.
That is seriously sublime (especially with the aztec paint pattern that looks just right for the movie). Man $450... I'm thinking about it, but it was that or save for some trooper armour as my year's ridiculous purchase
38" is a bit big for my tastes, But on a proper 6X4+ sized table that is going to look fabulous. I am a bit surprised by having just the single ship profile for fire arcs, but it sure looks professional. Second Maddy's request for a bat rep later, or a set of glossies in a good game photo-op.

Well if I get it, can I temp you to portland for a weekend to help me set it up and play a game or 2?
I'll be taking pictures Sunday in the Narrative Final Battle........
Will be about 1500 pts per side plus the SSD :-)
