12 Asteroid Tournament

So there's a tournament in a couple weeks that has players bringing 6 asteroids a person and they can be placed range 1 from the neutral edges and range 2 from the player's edges. I know everyone is going to bring Dash. So my question is what's a good list to counter Dash in this format? I'm thinking autothrusters, something like Triple Aces or the Howard Aces. I've been flying triple defenders but those rocks are gonna eat them up.

I just got ink in my printer, let's find out! Lol. That'd be pretty interesting though, if only Wave 9 will come out already.

Another option I could do is bring Dash but instead of the standard Dash VI him up to move after all the Dash's and shoot before them. Since I won't be stressing myself I don't need Kyle or Kanan.

We did something similar to this a few months ago. Dash really didn't have much of an advantage as we thought he would have. I brought three BTLA4 Y's with Ion Cannons and a Bumpmaster and placed well enough. I think tractor beams would be my primary focus if we played it again.

R5-X3 wants to play too. Show him some love.

I would actually look long and hard at Starvipers. They have amazing low-speed maneuverability, which is huge for a really dense asteroid field. You wouldn't need all Starvipers, but Guri or Xizor (probably Xizor because with VI or a bid he beats Dash) and some other stuff, you have a very powerful piece in a cluttered environment. Advanced Sensors would maximize your maneuverability. FCS would give you action independent offense so you could just fly over rocks and care a little less.

Something like Xizor, FCS, VI, Glitterstim, Autothrusters, Virago title is 39 points. Throw in 3 Thugs with Autoblaster Turret and you might be getting somewhere interesting.

I'd say carry a lot of bomb load outs. Just mine all the routes so they blow themselves up.

Dashcounter? 4xTLT would be a very strong list in this format.

Miranda (not having to face tripple jumps) would also be great value.
