The Grand Inquisitor Questions

By SwordOwaR, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

As he has his Lightsaber throw can you spend the surges with this attack ie; Cleave 3, or is this just for his melee attack?

And assuming you can spend the surges on his saber throw, when used in conjunction with 'Hunt them Down' would that then be an auto 2 cleave and surge: cleave 3 at 5+ Accuracy at one chosen enemy (so 5 cleave) or would it be 2 cleave at one enemy and surge: cleave 3 at another?

Now 'Deadly' surge I take it you can use this for both melee and throw attacks?

And another which is not the Inquisitor..Force Lighting, do you also take damage if standing adjacent to the target figure? we played that you did.

Cheers.

Yes, deployment card figures can use all abilities on their cards when they make attacks.

Cleave 2 and Cleave 3 are separate, you perform one first, then the other (after the attack resolves if the target of the attack suffered damage from the attack). They both choose a target separately, it can be the same figure/object or different ones.

Deadly is an ability that can be used in any attack the Grand Inquisitor makes.

Force Lightning says that the figure and each figure adjacent to the target figure suffers the damage and becomes stunned, so yes.

Nice thanks. He's a great character.

Asking for clarification, in campaign when Biv uses up close and personal he cant use surges on the melee attack from his weapon is that correct? He has the same ability on his command card for skirmish does it change things? I want to ask this more detailed but its 3 am and I cant articulate myself well.

In the campaign heroes can only use surge abilities from their hero sheet and the weapon they use for the attack, and not from other weapons unless explicitly specified. The melee attack of Close and Personal does not use any weapon, so it can only use abilities that are explicitly specified to be usable for that attack (Crushing Blow and Vibrobayonet - regardless of which weapon it is attached to).

Deployment card figures (which means every figure in the skirmish, including Biv) can use the abilities from the deployment cards for all attacks unless specified otherwise.
