Got to play with Wave 3/4 for the first time today...

By Cuthawolf, in Star Wars: Armada

...and I like! I got utterly thrashed of course, but such is life. I like that Imperials now have the option of heavy control with the Interdictor and Konstantine, and I like the inexpensive firepower the M'Lady gives to the Rebels. -I- need to learn a lot more with this new wave because my favorite tactic, of aggressively maneuvering small and medium based ships into side and rear arcs, is a LOT harder when tractor beams and Konstantine can reliably shred my speed.

Not wild about Madine, I have yet to honestly need the kind of specialized maneuvering that he provides. Now, its just one game with him so far, but I'm not sold. Also I'm still trash with Rebel Fighters, and I think that's really going to hurt me in the new meta. IF I don't learn how to make the most of the squadrons I have I'm going to get buried by Flotilla pocket carriers I think.

Neb-B's are still garbage ships for garbage people :P

Okay, now take everything that's Garbage... Because you'll find it'll be a hit when it all works together........

Rebel Fighters (Especially X-Wings)

Neb-Bs (Yavaris + Flight Commander + Fighter Coordination Team especially, maybe even a cheap Salvation)

Liberty (Keep 'er Cheap)

Madine

Now, with those, and a Bomber Command Bright Hope... You're onto something that is absolutely and utterly terrifying.

A Core of two Neb-Bs that can slow roll while delivering a LOT of Squadron and Bombing Firepower...

And a Liberty that's able to start on the Flank, Bank Navs, and simple Front-to-Side anything its Feeling like... Even if the Enemy turns towards it, its at speed 3 and Dancing around to their Side....

Everything is "eh" on its own...

... But putting all of that diversity together, is what makes the Rebellion strong.

This is the truth. :)

Hmmm. I like your ideas and wish to subscribe to your magazine.

I am a Garbage Person who uses Garbage Tactics to dump Multiple B-wings Double-Tapping on the Nose of an ISD on Turn 2...

Why does that matter? It is for fun and we both can learn new things ^_^

This is what I came up with, based pretty much entirely on your criteria. I gotta say it seems pretty nasty.

This is very, very close to the first list I fielded in wave 3/4.
