Blade Squadron

This is another fleet that I'm trying to update for Wave 3/4; sadly I won't be able to get my hands on all the ships for it for a while yet, but I welcome critique and suggestions.

I've played around with several versions of this, using Independence, Liberty, Gallant Haven, and Garm Bel Iblis, but I think this is the one that fits the most things in. The Fighter Coordination Teams and Adar ensure all of the speed 2 fighters can keep up, and the GR-75 ensures Yavaris always has an extra Squadron token when it needs it. I've gotten to triple-tap with Nym/Yavaris before, but I'm really looking forward to getting to do that with Toryn Far/Bomber Command in range!

I'm quite undecided as to which yellow objective is correct for this list, especially with the new possibility of Interdictor shenanigans, and my last build of this had Garm Bel Iblis, who made always having the needed tokens easier, but Dodonna's power with bombers can't be underestimated, and I'm trying to afford a lot of different things here. Any feedback is welcome.

I like it, although personally I would drop Adar Talon, the 2nd transport and 1 squadron for a TRC-90 or something. But that's just personal preference. This list probably hurts a lot.

TRC-90? Sorry, I don't recognize that...

(I'm sure I'll kick myself in a sec)

I really like it. 4 activations, 8 deployments, 5 heavy bombers and with decent fighter capabilities as well. This will be a tough list to crack.

Most would probably say to get ECMs on that cruiser, but with so many other threats, you'll really only need to worry about Demo coming in for the triple tap, and he can't get accuracy. And of course MC30s, but those will have other problems as well, like a major bomber screen.

One thing I'm thinking about with your list is to maybe trade out boosted comms for expanded hangars on the cruiser. This will let you move more squadrons with FCT (total of 7 adding in Yavaaris).

And another list I recently looked at had the boosted comms on a transport with Toryn Farr, which was interesting.

Have you considered putting Dodonna on the comms net Flotilla? Your MC80 is missing it's survivability assets, so right now it is a big juicy target with Dodonna on there.

If you're considering making any changes, I'd start with that HWK. It's a little redundant (which is good), and removing it would drop fighter count from 9 to 8, thus not affecting your deployments. You could also just change it to an A for a 1 point bid. But it's good as a HWK.

Objectives are, of course, solid. Most wanted could also work here with you comms net gozanti, and your bombers would absolutely destroy anything of your opponents you chose, and they would do it fast. But I think that precision strike is much more balanced with the rest of your objectives (just as likely to be picked, whereas most wanted would never be picked).

A CR90A with turbo laser reroute circuits. With Tantive upgrade it could perform the coms net role for you but is a sizeable point increase.

It's funny that you mention swapping out a transport for Tantive IV, because the Wave 2 version of this fleet ran Tantive IV in place of the transports, and I think one of the biggest additions from this wave is the ability to get the token passing effect for half the cost. I never found moving the Corvette into weapons range to be an effective use of it, so I think downgrading it to something with no weapons is fine.

Putting Dodonna on the transport is a great idea, and I think I'll do that. It really doesn't want to do anything other that stay out of the fight anyway.

Having tried both, I don't think that Expanded Hangars helps nearly as much as Boosted Comms, because if this list loses, it's usually because it loses control over its fighters, and I'd rather be able to consistently activate 4 squadrons. Plus I can currently nudge 6 squadrons, which happens to be the number of 2 speed squadrons I'm running. The HWKs and Skurrgs can fend for themselves. I've put a lot of Wave 2 time into the fighter balance, and I think it's just right: there are too many fighters to be effective as one big bundle, and tend to be broken into two groups: 2 B-Wings, Nym, Jan and a YT-1300 that fly with Yavaris, and the rest that fly with the MC80. Two YT-1300s helps ensure that my B-Wings are always escorted, and two HWKs allows me to always be confident I can lock my opponent's squadrons down, even when they too break into separate groups.

Certainly, the fleet can dish out a lot of damage if it can keep the enemy in range. Enemy Demolishers and MC30s have not fared well for long in the past; the addition of Dodonna as commander ought merely to make this even more painful. However, it's quite complex activating everything and keeping fighters in the correct place, especially when the enemy has numerous fighters, so I imagine by the time I'm able to assemble this build I'll be quite out of practice. Have to get some casual games in before I take it to a tournament.

So how does this version fare? I'm wondering if the MC80 is too loaded to be worth the loast of the fourth activation, and Expanded Hangar Bays on the GR75 is probably redundant:
