Fearlessness activation

By JacknifeUK, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Obviously this is also about the Concord Dawn Protector title as well as the wording is the same just for defending, but how often is this activating with following

Auxiliary firing Arcs....(firespray, Tie SF, Arc 170 etc....)

Mobile Firing Arc.... (Lancer)

Special Firing Arc...... (YV-666, Ghost/Phantom title)

Activates on all, none or some?

Arcs are arcs are arcs. If you're in an arc, you're in arc.

Special Firing Arc...... (YV-666, Ghost/Phantom title)

Also, the extra arcs on the YV-666 are Auxiliary arcs, not Special arcs. The VCX-100 is the only ship currently in the game with a "Special Arc".

Does anybody but me hate the fact that fearlessness is Scum only? Why? Do the other two factions not have fearless pilots? On many cards, the faction constraints are logical. But this has no business being limited to S&V.

Thematically I agree with you...

But it's possible fearlessness paired with certain Rebel or Imperial pilots would be unbalanced? I can't think of any off the top of my head, but that's my thinking.

Once again though- i share your ire at the idea that Rebel and Imperial pilots can't be 'fearless'.

No Ruthless pilots outside the Empire?

Mercs don't have rebel captives? Or even any captives?

Han and Dash aren't slimy mercs and smugglers?

Well, that's what we have logic isn't the factor. Game design is.

Weren't Ruthlessness, Rebel Captive, Han and Dash released before we had S&V? That might be the reason. Otherwise, it would be pretty stupid to stress a S&V pilot for shooting at a ship with a rebel captive on it. And since the rebels are clearly the good guys, the reasoning to make Ruthlessness (i.e. potentially hurting your wingmen) available to the Empire only is perfectly valid.

Fett got his card for S&V, so why not include godless mercs and smugglers in a scummy incarnation?

as crew. Dash had a long history before he got into the asteroid-ridden quest that led him to the wanted posters of teh Empire and rebel foil.

They've Errata'd the poor Tacticians, Daredevils and so on.

Why not do that again?

But we're offtopic on that >_>

and nope, Rebels aren't good guys.
