Buddy is arguing autothrusters works in auxilliary firing arcs. Trying to prove to him they do not, only at range three. Need help with FAQ ruling or a developer statement stating such.
Thanks guys.

Auxiliary arcs are an arc. He would need to be beyond range 2 for AT to kick in . It's in the FAQ. Gimme a sec and I'll get you a screenshot
Here you go
That's from a older version of the FAQ...
But the most current one 4.21 says this.
Q: Do firing arcs that are not primary firing arcs (such as an auxiliary or special firing arc) count as firing arcs for card abilities such as “Backstabber” or Outmaneuver?
A: Yes.
that quite naturally applies to things like autothrusters as well. Because an arc is an arc.
Oh apologies, I still had 4.1.2 on my phone and misread it as 4.2.1....
Still, I think it's clear that yeah, AT doesn't trigger from an Aug arc unless they're beyond range 2
"in arc" means literally any printed arc on the ship template. Primary arc, aux arc, special arc, and mobile arc are all firing arcs. Unless something specifically says an arc (such as Tailgunner with Aux Arc) then it works in all 4 arcs. Or doesnt work, in this case.
Thanks!
