There's a missing, unannounced SKU number in the X-Wing series of releases, and it's anticipated that something will drop on Rogue Friday that carries this SKU.

Otherwise, an overall smaller release than Force Friday last year, as confirmed by overall store stock codes.

Not expecting much from FFG, unfortunately.

EDIT: Oh, and some folks think it's when we'll officially see Wave IX on store shelves, though there's no confirmation there, either.

Based that hotr was announced before wave 9, yet wave 9 is here. Makes me think that missing sku is up to something. My hope is a double ship box won the u wing and tie striker. Not a full core but two new ships.

I don't think it will be a new core. It hasn't been that long since the last one came out. It would be interesting if it were a combo box with U-wing and Strikers, though.

hoping for, expecting wave 9 on rogue friday. Along with a new core set. It just makes sense. a starter set based on the current in theater film. it will have a t 65 with fixes and two tie strikers. my prediction. based on absolutely nothing.

I heard they are going to have an Assault Gunboat on sale. (kidding)

Using the movie to bring in Rogue Squadron Xwings would make sense. Not what the movie is about but name recognition and all. Gets new movie fans and old EU fans in one go.

Disney is pulling the strings, not ffg. If ffg wants to keep producing this awesome game, they have to brownnose Disney or they lose the legal stuff to produce for it.

Disney is known to be a ****** with stuff like that. Ever played The Lion King on the SNES? Know that really f'ing annoying spot with the monkeys most people couldnt get by? Yeah, Disney had the developers put that in there deliberately to waste about an hour or two of time so we couldnt "rent the game, beat it, and never play it again" and had to actually buy it.

In the end it was the sole reason people hated that game. Myself included lol

Disney couldn't make a game worth buying, even if Chris Avelone smacked the shareholders and CEO in the head repeatedly.
