Forum newbie here, been playing since the start of the year and love it (although i play far too infrequently)

I am yet to take the interdictor out into battle and have some ideas with it, one question that pops into my mind is the admirals ability to decrease or increase speed. In my head the ability to bring a ship into range is actually quite powerful and this leads me to my question, can you speed up a ship that is going max speed.?

Now the answer is probably no but in realistic terms the interdictor or admiral is speeding this ship up so it should be able to surpass its normal speed.

The idea of someone positioning themselves just out of range but to be thwarted by having to increase that is quite a nice one.

Nope. The highest column on their cards is the maximum speed that they can go. Their dial can't go any higher.

It would be interesting if it could, alas.
