Any suggestions where one might get a good playmat in the EU?
I've been looking at Deep Cut Studio but their neoprene mat for Armada is 51 pounds which is a bit expensive.
I like the idea of a mousepad (neoprene) or another rubber mat but I cannot find it anywhere for a decent price.
Decent being about 40-50 Euros

I'm a fan of PixArt Printing - they're based in Italy and often have sales throughout the year where they drastically cut the price of their PVC banners.
They make for perfect playmats. I've had a number of mats made for tournament prize support (X-Wing, not Armada) and they're always popular.
As far as images go, have a google for Armada Paymat image / starfield etc and see if anyone has already come up with something - failing that you could always google Hubble deep space image and format it to the correct size.

As for material, is PVC good as a mat. I mean, does it wrinkle, do ships slide on it and so on?

The Extreme Classic PVC 500gsm is fine for X-Wing.
It's standard PVC banner material, so might be a little slippery, but I use a mousemat material under my bases so don't run into this problem.
I would like to get the neoprene (mousepad) one but Pixart will be the option to take if I end up not being able to afford the preferred option.
