Let's say I have the Misdirect power with the Magnitude upgrade, and me and my buddy come across a bounty hunter at short range. I generate two pips whilst activating the power.
Can I spend pips to target the bounty hunter twice, so that he can perceive neither myself nor my buddy?
No I'm sorry, it doesn't work that way. Magnitude upgrades are used to increase the number of people who can't see the hidden objects, not the number of objects hidden.
To drastically increase the number of objects hidden you need the Mastery upgrade, it's the only way to hide more than one object. For 2 Force Pips you can increase the hidden objects by your Cunning plus ranks in Deception. It can also be activated multiple times if you really want to mess with someone's head.
