Wave 9 Scum list - need to shave a point

I am trying to put together a list, an aggressive one at that, with the new wave stuff. Here is what I have come up with. As you can see I am trying to find multiple ways to throw more dice while still doing some anti-ace tech:

Again, over by one. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I think I would drop pursuit lasers and take the 1 pt bid

You could also add Concord Dawn Protector using the extra point. A bid's only really going to help Teroch as there isn't a lot of competition at PS 7.

Drop the mangler. It's not really helping your offense much other than at range 3, and only if firing forward.

With the free points add a couple black market slicers.

i don't like fearlessness at all. it's highly situational and you will use (expecially with n'dru) perhaps one time. kath have to run away from people, not toward them, to maximize her damage output. and, yes, drop mangler. But, i recon, also the ability of Teroch will be used maybe just one time in a match, or none, so i would try to upgrade Old Teroch with fenn rau.... and the title.....or downgrade him to a generic ace.

Do you suggest dropping the Glitterstim from N'Dru for them or just on Kath?

kath have to run away from people, not toward them, to maximize her damage output. and, yes, drop mangler.

But doesn't engine make her too fast?

Drop Fearlessness, APL and Mangler from Kath.

Add Predator and EU.

There's your point shaved off.

EU is worth it. You won't want to boost all the time to be sure, but being able to turn your ship to catch your opponent in arc - or zoom past them to do so - is worth it. I agree that Predator is better than Fearlessness on Kath, but I'd be tempted to keep it on N'dru just to see how it plays - a likely ten-damage alpha strike seems way too powerful not to give a try. I would personally stick with Teroch myself; PS 9 with his action bar isn't to be underestimated in the late game, and he's a great support piece for both Kath's and N'dru's powerful attacks. How about something like this?

I like this. I am hesitant to use predator just because it is the "norm" and wanted to be different. But as they say, it's the norm for a reason.

I would almost drop autothrusters off of the Protectorate. You want to be in arc...as much as possible...and truth be told...Teroch will probably die in round 1 of combat...maybe round 2 anyways.

mmmm... so: n'dru dies in turn 3 max (i flown him many times, with similar setting, and lone wolf give him a little more survavibility), teroch in turn 2-3-4 and kath runs away from who survived to her former teammates :unsure: doesn't look great, does it?

But... fly it, and please report us how it works, i'm curious (no irony here).

This all over. Spending four points one Mangler when your goal is never to fire it is a really bad idea.

So drop that, put the title on Teroch, get Dengar on Kath rather than Tailgunner.

I'd also suggest VI rather than Fearlessness on N'Dru. You only get one shot at his alpha, and it fails instantly if he gets PS killed. I've had it happen to me several times even with Lone Wolf. Fearlessness is MUCH more twitchy to get triggered, and doesn't actually add all that much compared to getting the chance to do it at all.

I have flown the protectorate over the course of 4 games. 3 of those games were Old Teroch and of the 4 games, my protectorate died 3 out of 4 times performing its alpha strike move. I was about to give up on the ship all together, but it can be made to perform reasonably. The game it survived I had removed autothrusters and oddly enough it survived.
