Will there be tourneys and events organized by FFG in europe or who is responsible for this?

I was just wondering how you get these cool avitars with your messages.

I'm still new to this and havent figured out yet how to insert such a picture, wich looks much better than simply showing nothing at all.

• Towards the center bottom of the page, click on "Change the current avatar"
• Choose the game, and then the pic and then click "Update your Profile" at the very bottom
• No custom avatars at this point, you have to use one of the ones provided

If you want to add the game under you avatar, do this:

• Click on your avatar now
• Go under any gaming category and fill out the games you own
• Click on "Update Your Profile" when you are done selecting your games
• On that same page, scroll ot the bottom and then Rank your Top 5 games - those top 5 will appear under your avatar

I was thinking just the same thing. Wouldn't it be great if you could use your own picture for this.

If so many people have the same one, it just seems a bit silly and pointless in the end.

Mind you, at least we don't have to pay for them with geek cold or any of that nonsense, so I won't complain... to much.

I'd also like it if it was indicated wich country a member was from. Not that it would make any difference to whom we'd communicate to obviously, but I simply think it would be fun to know where a person is comming from. For all we know a person might be living down the road.

I don't think it would be a breach of anyones privacy to share that information. But who knows, the may actually grant our wishes in future.

This should be available up front. With avatars changed and some names off, I can't tell if these people are my friends ahead of time and the location may help me narrow them down.

how does this whole 'friends' thing work anyway? does it give you special info on people or what? I mean I'd love to know the pro and cons.

why doesn't this forum have the option to send us a message when we get a reply to something we posted, or am I doing something wrong?

now I have to go check all I wrote to find out if anyone has replied, wich is a bit of a pain and something I feel obliged to do, as I don't want to be so rude as to seemingly ignore people who took the trouble to reply. But with this system you easily miss messages especially if you stick your nose in as many places as I do.

wich makes me wonder, is there actually anyone out there, moderater person, who takes note of our messages and suggestions. I've looked for a possibility to contact a moderater directly with my suggestions and questions, but I've not found one yet.

Having friends gives you a little more info but not much. It also gives you 1 point for each of them you have.

Why we can't do other things is just the limitation of the software. I am not sure if they are working on it or not but it has been posted many places many times. They reacted to some things - such as cranking up the contrast and getting new servers to make it go faster. They have also been watching people spamming for extra points by posting stupid genereic questions on every forum on the board. So they are out there.

Well, worldofbattlelore.de will try its best in 2009 to organize a league and/or a tourney. We will be supported by the Heidelbären.

The "Heidelberger Spieleverlag" does the translation and distribution of most(all?) FFG games for the German market.

Their mascot is a bear.

Heidelberg, if I'm not very very much mistaken I've been there once many years ago. Thats the town with the special bridge isn't it. Or am I confused with Regensburg. Oh don't you hate it when the penny won't drop and you can't immedeatly remember. I shall now see myself forced to go find out or I won't be able to enjoy my day.

I thought Bears stood for Bayern, don't know where I got that idea....
