Sabine's TIE, Buy 1 = Get 2?

Then please paint them in all colors you like and make them perma-rebel ones.

Even that doesn't make a ton of sense. One of the benefits of a stolen enemy ship is that you can use it for covert missions by pretending to be the enemy. In fact, that's exactly how they use the thing in the series, which shouldn't work at all given the paint job, but does anyway thanks to the comedic stupidity of stormtroopers.

Obfuscation is for the weak and cowardly.

They are rebels for Wookies' sake; they need to REBEL with colorful panasche!

Except anyone with common sense would report a stolen TIE Fighter, and every com tech and pilot should know how to check their IFF to see that it's not a Imperial TIE without having to see that stupid paint job.

Perhaps. But that's referencing technology that we don't know how it works in Star Wars.

We don't know if an IFF is something you can hack, or fake, or whatever in Star Wars.

So do you think FFG will make Dial upgrade Kits Mandatory for premier events as Dial Faction must match pilot and base faction as well?

I mean if they made that ruling you won't need the dial upgrade kit as long as you have a rebel TIE fighter and only use one but if you use a second one you might need to take the Imperial TIE fighter dial out and put it in a rebel upgrade kit.

Why do something stupid like that?

As long as you've got the right dial to go with the model just who is flying it, and what faction they belong to, is irrelevant.

Realistically, I think you'd want to buy two of this pack. Then you'd have all the cardboard for flying all four pilots, the closest rebels will ever get to a tie swarm (hopefully!)

And you can most certainly use any faction model and dial as long as you've got the proper cardboard and cards. FFG made that ruling when Most Wanted came out.

I don't think so. Remember the outrage generated by the 'new damage deck only' proposal? I'd expect something like that if FFG tries to tell people they need to buy more stuff to field their stuff in tournaments.

Yeah but in those you had to purchase either another $40 core set or a $20-$30 expansion pack. With the upgrade such a ruling is reduced to an $8 purchase to make a playable list tournament legal. But yeah it would still be a cash gouge move but it wouldn't be as bad as the new damage deck only.

It's only a 8$ purchase of you're cool with constantly breaking your dials apart apart and putting them back together. Otherwise it's way more.
