Just a focus is nowhere near enough post boost to even get reliable Klan e damage out, much less survive anything

But manny bump + feedback feeding full mods? That's promising

Draw their Fire on Manaroo to help the Fangs survive perhaps?

DTF on pretty much any ship near a Fang would help them alot, since they kinda have the Bomber issue of a sneaky crit getting through can really ruin their day, even with pretty good hull values.

Not sure about the Stealths vs ATs on the Fangs. switching to AT would afford 2 more points for a bid or a seismic torp or something.

I faced an Old Teroch player with Dengaroo. His ability and Manaroo's happen at the same time, so initiative decides. I gave him initiative so that I could just have Manaroo pass her tokens to Dengar after it was safe to do so.

You can do the same to Palob.

He's PS 7, on a ship that needs its autoinclude PtL instead of VI.

He's not tournament worthy. Decent ability, but like Turr Phennir his PS just kills it.

how does teroch's ability never work against aces?

His ability works off THEIR firing arc not his own. So even if they dodge him, if theyre looking at him at range1, they lose their stuff. They'd have to really try to avoid him, which probably means no tokens to begin with because they boosted and barrelrolled.

Lets put that old Teroch in front of Countess Ryad. R1, the countess had Target Lock and Evade naturally, loses her evade, keeps her TL. She has as well Palpatine backup.

Teroch has Fearlessness, boosted into R1 and got a Focus and TL passed from Mani.

Thats 2.7 damage from Toroch vs 1 Damage from our Queen of jousting. Not even her 6 HP would save her day that way. Luckily she just can K-Turn next round and get most likely free shot. That R1 requirement is gonna bite Teroch in the butt. Now it becomes about flying and avoid those jousts. If the title would include R2 that Fang Fighter might really had a large impact, but the way it is … I don't see meta changes based on them ^-^

Why should you? If you have initiative you just go after Manroo, if you don't go after Dengar. Having a bid or not let you choose after which of those two you go, but it does not change the fact that you picked your target already before setup.

Depends on the list. Old teroch isnt going to be able to get in front of manaroo to strip her tokens and palob wont even be able to get her in range to use his ability (assuming standard ptl/engine). You can still try to kill her first (fang can at least catch her) but youll have dengar breathing down your neck the whole time. Easier with twroch or palob to just bid so manaroo has to pass focus first and burn down dengar

I wouldn't put DTF on a Palp Shuttle because they don't have Elite Talents. Even if they did, most people aren't keeping their aces at range 1 of Palp.

Anyway, back to the subject at hand.

In the example fickle proposed, Manaroo was to be used as a bumper (which coincidentally means if you're good at bumping, you're in range 1 of your target). Teroch/Rau also want to be at range 1, which means they are most likely at range 1 of Manaroo as well. Manaroo has a decent number of shields for point costs vs other Scum ships. Ships with shields are nice when taking a critical hit. Hence the suggestion of DTF. You have 3 ships wanting to be at range 1 of the enemy. Also, Manaroo might have a decent chance of ioning the target (like Ryad) if you wanted to swap out ion projectors instead of APLs.

I'm sure none of this is the 2017 Worlds winning list, but its fun to discuss anyhow, even if someone disagrees, offers scenarios that cant happen, and throws math at you.
