Good lord that look mighy fine; nice job! I think you've just set the bench. Did you build the shelving yourself?
Awesome stuff !!!
omg that's so insane!!
Very impressive. It's way beyond my capabilities. I'll have to stick to my Plano setup.
guess you can't build one for others?

Thank you, I'm glad you like it.
Yes; the outer casing is pine, and the inner shelving is 5mm thin wood veneer (oak imitationI believe).
I bought the individual wooden boxes at Dollarama, removed the top of the lids using a table router, then glued the remaining lid contour to the boxes using carpenter's glue, and finally, I drilled half-circle nudges on each side, so they can be pulled out easier.
One heck of a project, but worth the effort.
Now if I could only find Battlelore players in the Quebec City area...

You're right, you never know. Of course, the smiley I used is a bit drastic; my written reply would be "I politely decline". I did however get a request from a guy on boardgame geek to get detailed plans for the chest, which I might eventualy be able to produce. But then again , this will definitely be a side project, since I'm a bit eager to restart painting some figures for the moment, especially now that I've got the heroes expansion.
(Off-topic) That being said, I hope you have a merry christmas Cab, I read the forum posts daily and your contributions and help are well-appreciated.
Wow. It would be nice to have access to those plans in order to build one yourself.
Great job by the way.

Not that desperate... yet
That is an amazing setup!
Meanwhile, I still have to buy Plano boxes for my stuff...
By all means if you come up with some plans, please post them here. I'm in dire need of some nice storage and I'm tired of plano.
Ed
I should be able to post them soon. I've already taken all of the measurements on paper. I just need to transfer them over to the digital pictures of the individual chest pieces. ETA another week or two.
I've finally submitted my .ZIP files on Boardgame Geek today. It contains the pictures of each individual chest panel with the measures. I'll post the link as soon as it appears on their site.

Ever think about selling some? taking orders, one at a time? I'm sure a lot of people would be willing to purchase this...

Do you make use of geek gold?

To me it wouldn't be worth the time and effort. I didn't exactly build the chest because I love building chests. I did it because I love Battlelore. Don't get me wrong, I loved doing this project and all, but my main satisfaction is the finished product. But if anyone else wants to build some chests using my design and sell them, be my guess.
My aim is mainly to serve as inspiration for other Battlelore fans

No, not really. At least not for the moment. I have received some for my contributions but I haven't used any of it yet.
