How old are you? (Survey)

By IG88E, in X-Wing

24.

I saw the Holiday Special. On TV. (48)

When commercials were for getting snacks and peeing, not for looking for the FF button.

I have a feeling I qualify as the most ancient person that uses FFG forums on a daily basis ...

I turned 75 on July 6, 2016.

Perhaps I can play the part of Yoda. Except, I am no where near as wise ... sigh ...

Over 78% of those polled are over 30, approximately 50% are 35 and older, and yet the lion's share of the new releases are from children's cartoons. Not sure what that says about FFG's business strategy missing its target market, or about some of your viewing habits. ;)

I suspect FFG has been listening to the whining and crying on the forums and figure they've got the age bracket nailed pretty solidly :P

31 and my kids 10 and 7 (the others it's so little hahaha)

Big respect any2. If I can still read all these tiny upgrade cards when I hit 70+ I'll be freakin' amazed!! It's a struggle now haha

33. Although I swear it ages me a year everytime I make the cut in a tourney so probably pushing 40 at this stage!

Maybe the typical customer of xwing haven't exactly the same age of the typical xwing forum user.
Maybe in the case of a gamer child, the forum user is his father (actually some of the "old guys" here talk about their childs playing the game).

Naah. Look at any store event or tournament and the majority of people are late 20s and older. Mid 30s and 40s is pretty common for gaming.

Besides - the animation is more than what I'd call a children's cartoon. I watched Clone Wars from the shorts on and really like Rebels.

Most of DC Comics best films are animated (Flashpoint) and tell a really good story. I guess we grew up on cartoons, so it's a medium guys my age (48) easily understand and have a place for.

****, I'm 20, you guys make me feel like a little kid....

So you were around 3 when Phantom Menace came out?

Admit it. Guys your age are the reason we have Jar Jar Binks and why the most dangerous man in the Star Wars universe was called Annie.

31

37 and soon to be even older. still a child with an xwing or tie-fighter in my hands, though ;)

Trust me ... I would not be reading ANY of the cards in ANY of FFG's games if it were not for glasses with a significant magnification.

As for X-Wing, reading the cards is not too important as I have only played a single game. I have been with this game since the beginning, and have more than $3,300 invested.

I have some severe medical conditions that make it very difficult to get around. Still, I love the minis, and I love discussing the game.

Not to mention the sheer joy I get in reading these forums and watching people's heads explode and the sky falling every other day when something new gets announced that threatens their favorite build ... :P :D

I'm actually a little surprised that I'm right in the middle of the bell curve. I probably shouldn't be, as our generation of nerds grew up with pretty much only Star Wars, Star Trek, and MtG. These young'uns and their marvel movies and mainstream nerd stuff don't know what it was like!
