What is "touching?" Two Lambda zero movement question

By testobviouslyfalse, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Assume two lambda's collide directly into each other. The next turn, both perform 0 maneuvers, are they still touching, can they shoot each other?

From the FAQ:

Touching and Stationary Maneuvers
If a ship begins its activation touching another ship and executes a [ 0] maneuver (or executes a maneuver that does not move the ship away), the ships are considered touching. Ships that are touching remain touching until either ship moves away (so that the bases are no longer physically adjacent).
And ships that are "touching" cannot attack each other.

So, to extrapolate a bit. If two ships that were bumping at the beginning of the round both K-Turn, would they be touching at the end of the second maneuver?

Do they complete their K-turn? If so they would no longer be "touching" although they certainly could be in close proximity to the other ship.

Two ships remain "touching" (as opposed to overlapping and setting up a new touching) only if neither of them moves at all. If one can complete a maneuver then the previous touching will be broken.

With the Lamba's the touching state remains if they perform the Stop maneuver but because there isn't a new overlap situation they should get their Perform Action step. The problem there could simply be that they'll need some way to dump the Stress inorder to take actions.

So, for instance, two defenders are in line and bumped and they do a k turn. Yes they would be able to complete the maneuvers, but would the second one that moves be counted as "bumped"?

It shouldn't.

Following that two inline (parallel) ships that bumped should be able to perform the same straight maneuver and end up physically adjacent to each other, but not "touching", if they happen to turn around at the end of that maneuver (k-turn) it shouldn't change anything.

If there was going to be an overlap then one of the ships would NOT complete its maneuver and would still be pointing in the original direction.
