Wait, do you mean best looking ships or best performing ships?
I think the Syndicate Thug deserves a mention. No stressbot, but the salvaged astromechs are cool.

Gamma Vet, both ordnance and Bomber Buddy.
The Fang generics look like they'll be solid as well.
I think that's all the generics that are routinely worth taking IMO, though some specific edge cases do exist for ordnance builds in mid-tier competition.
The sad thing is how few of them are Rebels
No order, off the top of my head-
Delta/Glaive: titles give them the action efficiency/extra attacks that their low PS would usually deny
Academy: still one of the most points-efficient ships in the game
Black Squad: Crack shot makes these guys uber nasty
Green: Cheap interceptors, hard to kill if piloted correctly
Omicron: Palp carrier, enough said
Thug/Gold: cheapest TLT ships
Royal Guard/Baron: points-friendly versions of Soontir/the Inquisitor, sacrificing some offensive ability for less points
Green Squadron rules !
define "best"
Scouts for me sit at the top of any generic because they're simply capable of dealing with any threat thanks to combination of high damage ordnance and anti-dice feedback arrays (esp with large ship roll for blocking). They're the most versatile of any generic in the game by far
after that, nothing else even comes close
well, except for conner Ks. Those guys will win you games against pretty much anyone, provided you know how to use conners
Edited by ficklegreendiceWas worried no one was gonna mention RGPs
Cartel Marauder.
Plus Black Sun Ace, Gand Findsman, Tansarii Point Veteran and anyone else who can handle a Mindlink.
I love PS 3 Scum: Ruthless Freelancer, Black Sun Soldier, Contracted Scout.
May have to add Concord Dawn Veteran into the mix.
Contracted Scout, Contracted Scout, Contracted Scout.
Absurdly good upgrade bar, absurdly good defensive stats, absurdly good dial, Barrel Roll, PS3 that beats PS1 and PS2 point generics, large base for blocking aces, and a Primary Weapon Turret.
It's so good it basically obsoletes the G-1A from the same wave. For 2 points more and one less red die, you get a far better dial, a far tankier ship, a Barrel Roll, the ability to fire outside of arc, and far better upgrade options. Oh yeah, and the Scout doesn't just die vs Soontir Fel.

Grey and RSV? Really?
There are only five top tier generic ships & it's because of specific links to certain upgrade cards.
- Lambda Shuttle (Palpatine)
- Tie Fighter (Crackshot)
- Ghost (Fire-Control System & Auto-blaster turret)
- Jumpmaster (Deadeye, Overclocked Aggromech, Plasma Torps)
- YV-666 (Zuckuss)
Other generics can be 'decent', but these five are in a class of their own.
the defender not being up there makes me not take the list seriously
Z-95, Rebel or Scum take your pick.
Cheers

Definitely Wardens. I'm undefeated in casual and tournament play with

Miranda makes for a great end game with this build but she is also the primary target in most games. Fly them in a tight normative, always take target lock, focus fire on one ship per turn, and I'm pretty much always doing 6 damage per turn. One game was even over in just four turns of combat. Killed a ship every turn.
The B-Wing is a tank and throwing the generic in someone's face keeps the focus off more fragile ships.
I do like B-Wings with Gunner.
Edited by Drakhan ValaneAre we talking about, in a format without other unique ships? Cause RGP's kitted out with RGT+SD+AT+PTL make great budget Soontir's when nobody has higher than a 6 PS.
Advanced generics with x1 and AC are pretty good too.
Crackshot Black Squadrons are also great.
And of course x7 Glaives.
Edited by DarthEnderXThe best generics are probably the ones you see most in top-tier lists:
Black - Crackswarms
Scout - Double/Triple U-boats
Slaver - Party Bus
Lothal - Filler for Dash
Omnicron - Palp-caddy
