Attani HLsycks in GENCON 2016

Thanks again Duraham for posting, I played a version of your list night against triple Jumpmasters and it more than held it's own. I changed a few things so that, a) I wasn't totally ripping you off, b) I got to use my G1A.

I used:

Manaroo, Unhinged, K4, P1, Mindlink

Zuckuss, Mindlink

Tansarii PV, HS, HLC, Mindlink

It was really fun and I'll probably use this at a summer kit tourney this weekend.

I think in your list R5-P8 helps a lot with sneaky aces, and I miss that. But I like Zuckuss.

Those range 1 5 dice fully modded shots from Z are really nice. The mindlink/Manaroo combo is awesome as Zuckuss can K turn, but still end up with a TL and 2 focus by the time he comes to shoot!

Looking forward to wave 9 and seeing where I can fit Fenn Rau or Old Teroch in this list.

I played it tonight, card for card, totally ripping it off. Worked great. I had R5-P8 working overtime, doing a total of 4 damage against Palp Aces. Finally found it necessary to pop the center button out of a second Tansarii base chit. Thank you Mr. O

I ran the Manaroo/ Zuckuss/TPV list that I posted above at a Summer kit tourney yesterday, going 4-1 for 1st place.

Played triple jumpmasters 3 times going 2-1.

argh FFG why cant you errata the Syck before the tournament?

Congrats on your write up.

I've been looking at playing this and I'm going to a hangar bay tournament tomorrow and want to try two brand new lists.

My first question is about the K4. Did you have trouble triggering it without the unhinged astromech?

Then, what would you advise as a good list to bring with this one to a hangar bay event? I guess trying something that's be good against TLTs for example?

Also, on the same principle, I was toying with replacing Manaroo with Ventress. You lose part of the action economy, but if the tractor beam triggers, that leaves the HLC with reduced agility target.

No problems with K4 as long as you plan your path beforehand such that you would spiral anticlockwise into the fight. An easy way to do that would be to deploy on your right and go in from there.

Manaroo is essential in the combo to pull of the TL F F E, with emphasis on the F E and the TL F. Both token pairs means that your 1 syck can dodge a string of 3 hits and dish out a string of 4 hits in the same turn. Without this, either your sycks can punch hard but die fast, or the other way round.

For the shadowcaster title, i've had had better performance with predator + gunner. I like using the combo on ketsu and throw in a pair of tlts. With 2 tractor beam tokens on the target, you could more or less roll anything with the tlts and the target is still going to eat 4 damage regardless

How's the list doing with the free hull from the errata?

I've used the list in a tournament this week-end. Only for one game though as it was a hangar bay event and I fancied more my defenders list for the other games.

Still, it gave me my first victory on the only tournament I won so far!

The extra hull happened to be very important as the only Scyk to die stayed two or three turns alive on this one hull if I remember correctly...

I read this report before I realized it was from August, before the Scyk fix. Very impressive!

I just finished flying those exact scyks with Fearlessness Boba Fett, and I'm tempted to try your Manaroo build. Boba didn't synergize as well as I had hoped.

Fat chewy is good because with evade c3p0, you only take 1 dmg max every turn, and zuckass doesnt work on you. Yes, he takes only 1 dmg from you too, but he has 9 hp and you have 13. You can crit him (and he cant clear it), but he cant crit you. And if he wants to bring you down, he needs to drag manaroo along, which screws up his lonewolf

I'm following this topic and I've tried Attani Syck!...not my type of list.

However...

Fat Chewie & Miranda bomber is my kind of list. But why not had a Homing Missile? I've play a couple games of HM Miranda...and was very impressed!

Not replacing! I mean, using both. Downgrade Luke to Gunner and drop Prox Mine for Homing Missile.

Man i need to try this list. I haven't tried it due to the fact i like running fangs with Manny and Boba with Scyks. Gonna have to try this. Keep the HLC Scyk love going man. Big thumbs up.

Hey Duraham, just wanted to drop you a line to say that this thread has inspired me to finally buy two scyks. I hold you personally responsible for this turn of events. Great list and write up, thanks a bunch.

I've have so much fun flying the same list! I'm going like 7-2 for the past few casual game...people just don't know how to handle Scyk. I had to put the list on hold so not as to scare some of the more casual players.

I brought two more Scyk (beside the two I already had) afterward.
