Will we ever see a Clone Wars wave?

By Forresto, in Star Wars: Armada

Honestly, It introduced us to Ahsoka and Rex. I liked them so much that my next Impreza is getting named Rex.

Yes, Wave 8 introduces two new factions: The Galactic Republic and the Separatists. It will initially feature:

Core Set (Trade Federation Droid Command ship, Droid Fighter squadrons, Consular-class Cruiser, Acclamator-class Assault Ships, and V-Wings)

Droid Battleship (same sculpt as Trade Federation Droid Command Ship)

Banking Clan Frigate

Separatist Fighters Pack (2x Droid Fighters, 2x Droid Tri-Fighters, 2x Geonosian Fighters, 2x Techno-Union Starfighters)

Acclamator-Class Assault Ship (expansion)

Consular-Class Cruiser (expansion)

Republic Fighters Pack (2x V-Wing, 2x Jedi Starfighter, 2x Jedi Interceptor, 2x ARC-170)

Wave 9 onward will (typically but not always) feature one ship for each of the four factions, with squadron packs being split faction products (Imp & Reb squads together, Rep and Sep squads together, a la Rogues & Villains)

...translation: don't ask people who know the same amount you know (read: NOTHING) questions about future stuff

The only problem with the Droid Battleship/Trade Federation Droid Command ship is that it is larger than the Star Destroyer, I think it is wider than the Star Destroyer is long. That and that George Lucas said that the ship wasn't a separatist one, despite it clearly being in the battle of Courscant, which is why you don't really see them in the Clone Wars as part of the CIS fleet, I think you only see one once or twice in CIS colors. His reasoning being that it was a Trade Federation ship which wasn't technically part of the CIS, but the ship is rather iconic so I'm sure we'd most likely see it.

Negatives aside I'd love to see Prequel content in this game, X-wing, and Imperial Assault. The prequels are meh, and the Clone Wars is awesome but the fact of the matter is that the Clone Wars era is part of Star Wars. Plus FFG is using Prequel content in the new Star Wars Destiny game and just imagine how cool it would be to have some large campaign, using the FFG games, that started during the Clone Wars and ran all the way through the sequel trilogy.

Yes, to Clone Wars era ships.

Take my money FFG, please.

I know it will be an unpopular opinion, but I would actually rather see the Republic and Separatists as separate factions just so they are not constrained in design space by the preexisting factions. As new factions, the sky is the limit as far as potential. Whereas if they are tucked into existing factions, they will be much more heavily constrained (this is especially true for any fighters added to Empire as every single one has to take into account Rhymer and Howl Runner existing for example).

Now I know people will be against this because of a mixing of eras. But we already have that in game (when did Darth Vader in the Tie Advanced engage Hera in the Ghost alongside a squadron of E-Wings?), and that does not necessarily have to be the case with a little bit of imagination (something we should already be doing if we are trying to justify the fluff behind out games).

Separatists vs. Republic = Clone Wars fight.

Empire vs. Separatists = Empire engaging in a cleanup of a pocket of leftover rogue droids from the CWs.

Empire vs. Republic = Empire going up against a pirate cell or alternate rebel cell that got its hands on some older ships.

Well, we see it with A-Wings.....

And do we actually have a Canon-Time for E-Wings at the moment, or are they just a Cool Element?

EMpire vs. Republic =Empire against Clone revolvers from Kamino

FFG would get all of my money if it meant I could build up separatist and republic fleets like those in the battle at the start of Revenge of the Sith and in the Clone Wars. Especially Munificent frigates and Recuscant destroyers!
