Luxury Cruise end of game timing?

By juice man, in Imperial Assault Campaign

Just played the Cruise today. Last round the Empire use the end of round shot to wound the fourth hero, in the same round the last two terminals are secured.

Who wins?

We went with Rebels because mission rules come first followed by effects triggered be Imperials and last effects triggered by Rebels.

From my understanding, the mission would end as soon as the terminals are secured. At this point, unless I am mistaken, the end of round trigger would not happen.

The securing of terminals is checked at the end of round.

During end of round, mission rules are performed first, then the end of round abilities from the imperial player, then end of round abilities from rebel players (but I don't think there are any).

So the mission would end before the imperial player gets to trigger his end of round abilities.

(Page 2 of the RRG, Timing.)

If there are several mission rules that trigger during end of round, the imperial player decides their order. (Edit: Sound the Alarm is also a mission rule, so it can be performed before checking for securing of the terminals.)

(Although in Generous Donations the intent is that the rebels get their tokens during the last round as well.)

Thanks guys. We figured it was that way but my brother, like many gamers, over thinks things and felt the attack and terminal securing were both mission effects. I could see it both ways and that got me a little confused.

Closest game we've ever played.

Ah, sorry. I was thinking it was a Probe Droid self-destruct or something. (I haven't played Luxury Cruise, and I didn't read it closely enough to notice the Sound the Alarm event.)

The Sound the Alarm event is indeed also a mission rule, so the imperial player can choose to perform that and the checking of terminal security in either order.

(I have used Probe Droid self-destruct to trigger Executor from the Royal Guard Champion to end the mission during end of round.)

Ah, I had not noticed the bit of text about securing at the end of round. Good to have that pointed out.

Found the spot (campaign guide, page 2-mission events) where it is explained what a mission event is. I'll let the Rebs win this one. Got some nasty surprises in store for them. Thanks again.
