Question: Core Rulebook

By Trooper723, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

So in the Core Rulebook there is an entry about the existence of a planet called Ralltiir. Page 334 of Core Rulebook.

When I search the Galaxy Map on page 330, I do not see a Ralltiir anywhere.

Did they not complete the map to leave some of the locations for these planets mentions to the GM's discretion or did they just mess up?

Thanks in advance!

I can't help you with maps but there are BILLIONS of stars in the galaxy. I wouldn't be too surprised if you find me ton of a new one here or there.

That said, every time I go to starwars.wikia.com to look up a planet, I hear grid coordinates that reference the Star Wars Essential Atlas. I'm blind but that sounds like a map to me!

Raltiir is here: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Ralltiir/Legends

It says grid L9. Hope that helps.

PS: I wasn't being a wise-butt posting almost the same message twice. I just didn't know which you might see first.

These kind of details are often intentionally left vague in this system to allow the GM the freedom to tailor them to what suits the story.

I am firmly of the belief that the planet in question is at the exact location I require it to be for the purposes of the story.

Star charts are always changing!

:)

See if you can get the map from the force awakens box as it may have it on there.

I'll second the Star Wars Essential Atlas. The map in the core book is a faint shadow of what's available to work with.

I know it wasn't in the book's map, but all the same...

That moment when a blind person is better at reading a map than you.

Not every planet the book(s) talk about can be found on the map. This appears to be true across lines. I doubt it's a mess up though. A lot of Star Wars maps over the years don't list every single planet that has been named in the setting.

to include every planet you would likely need a map 6foot by 6foot. The Atlas is better cause it can break things up and give you more detail. I highly recommend the atlas, also google the supplemental material. like the nifty sector maps for the outer rim mid rim and expansion region.

A Star Wars planet is never lost, nor is it ever found. It turns up exactly when The Force needs it to! (with apologies to Tolkien, Gandalf, Jackson & McKellen)

If Haley were an earthbender, she'd be the best...around!

To bend something into the shape of the Earth it would have to be round.

Took a long listen to a Wikipedia page to understand this. Does that count as irony???

Absol is making several jokes. One, you're blind, so you'd be Toph from Avatar: The Last Airbender, who was the best Earthbender that they'd ever seen. and two, he's using the lyrics to a song (Joe Esposito - You're the best around) from The Karate Kid.

Fixed. Sorry, but that's a major pet peeve of mine.

Sorry. Rarely sure of anyone's gender on the interwebs and just assume the masculine pronouns given my history with gaming/game groups. heheh. Information absorbed (now we'll see if it sticks for next time).
