To the guy I was just playin online with

By Krynn007, in X-Wing

My laptop battery just died. Got a warning message that battery was 12% then died (not much if a warning) kids must have unplugged it, and I didn't realize till too late.

Restarting my laptop now but stuck at stupid update.

Hope you see this message, but won't hold my breath

Really erks me when this sort of thing happens. Couple months ago I lost internet mid game (as Canada has some of the best providers [sarcasm])

Wish there was easier way to message people somehow

Edit

Anyway I forgot the other players name, but I was flying biggs, Thane, and Norra.

He was flying omega, zeta leader and two zeta specialist.

Was my full health norra against his 2 hull specialist and untouched omega. Wasn't looking good for me, but it was close, was hoping take off that specialist the round my laptop died. And with r2d2 try get omega gone.

Argh, will never know :(

Not the person you were playing with, but was honestly hoping for some kind of "I got the wrong asteroids" after cleanup joke for an online game.

Argh, just so frustrated.

It was a close game, and I would have liked to see it through. I hate to think he'd think I left for whatever reasons.

So mad right now. Hate technology sometimes

Great when it works, not so much when things go wrong. Anyway, just venting now.

I feel bad for making him wait. Just got back on, and he left, and I don't blame him,if it wasn't for my laptop updating I would only been couple of min.

That's my luck

Name was Nemarus.

If it helps, I certainly know that particular anguish with not noticing your laptop being unplugged. Happens now and then for me, and since the battery indicator is kinda bunk to start with, it just blinks out when it's dead with no warning.

And this does remind me I still need to figure out Vassal at some point, would love to get more into it, and playing online that way, but feels like I never get time to learn the program.

It's a great program, when your PC works.

I saw the battery at 12% message and thought I had a min, was just moving my ship And was going to plug it in, then died, wasn't even 2 min. It's an older laptop, if I had the funds I would have thrown this to the bears and get a new one tomorrow. Just not that easy though.

Anyway life goes on, just a game. Only thing I don't like is leaving someone hanging like that. That really gets to me

The Chicago Bears appreciate your sentiment and need all the help they can get, especially when it comes to technology.

But to be serious, I know if I was the other player I would have thought you pulled the plug so you didn't lose. Messages like these are appreciated. I hope they get it and you can have a rematch.
