Grav shift reroute [Interdictor]: only works @ deployment?

By alby1kenoby, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Hi.

I wonder whether the effects of the "Grav shift reroute" would only work at deployment or anytime during the game (i.e. is the grav token removed from the board after deployment?).

My doubts originated when reading the following phrase in the official announcement:

" Just be sure to place your grav shift token within distance 1–3 of as many obstacles as possible, and you can either fly right through them to score your Dangerous Territory victory points or use them to slow your opponent's progress toward the Fire Lanes objective tokens. ".

What are your thoughts, fellow admirals?

"Before deploying fleets, place 1 grav shift token anywhere in the play area.

After deploying fleets, you may move each obstacle at distance 1-3 of that token to with distance 2 of that obstacle's current location. Obstacles cannot overlap tokens, obstacles, or ships."

After Deploying Fleets, means "Immediately" after Fleets are Deployed, as by Timing Effects in the Rulebook...

The Grav Shift Token stays there... You can't overlap it with an Obstacle, after all...

But apart from that, there's no need to refer to it at any point, because overlapping it with a ship or squadron does nothing, and, if you do not move your obstacles at the designated point, then you have missed your opportunity to do so....
