I just finished my second game on Vassal in which my opponent reported the match results in the ELO challengeboards without first verifying before the match began that it was ELO. I include the ELO tag by my name to make it easy for other ELO players to identify me, and ask for a ranked game - it is not an invitation to report the game without my consent.

To my most recent opponent, if you would like to report the match again, I will be happy to validate it, but in the future, just ask. I would have brought a stronger squad if I knew it was ranked.

What's ELO?

ELO is a ranking system originating from chess, created by someone named Elo. It basically gives you a number that shows you how strong you are and you gain/lose points by playing other players and the amount you gain/lose is determined by the difference between your numbers. Yah, ELO vs casual match can make a big difference in what squad I choose

I have never played Vassal, but does it require both players to verify the results? Surely if not it leaves it open to abuse.
