I feel like i've seen this building before on lists of abandoned places in the world. I think its in some former Soviet Bloc country.

Obi-Wan really has it in for cyborgs. Grievous. Maul. Vader. Good thing he didn't see Luke get his robot arm.

Then why does it have armor at all?

Anything you need armor for, that gap is counter-productive for.

Like I said though, it's not armor. It's an exo-suit . It's not designed for protection. It's designed for strength enhancement with added appendages mounted with specialized tools for construction, heavy lifting, and mechanics.

Honestly, I think there is no good practical reason other than the artist wanted to show she had some bewbs :P

That too.

If the plates in question are intended to be load-bearing or otherwise secure the equipment, then the gap defeats that purpose.

If the plates in question are intended to be protective against non-combat work hazards, then the gap defeats that purpose

There is literally no possible purpose for those thick, heavy plates, that is not defeated by the gap.

They are purely, utterly, completely, nothing more than poorly-exercised artistic license, a victory of "looks hot" over functionality.

OK, enough, no arguing on the art thread please. Not why I made it.

That would be true if they were completely disconnected from each other. However, if you look more closely, they are connected in the back and sides.

You're right, sorry.

I should know better than to bother anyway, some people will make any excuse they can for "teh bewbs" no matter how ridiculous it makes the art look.

Oh please, if you're looking for battle armor that also gives you Teh Boob, you're looking in the wrong place:

Rule one: The Dirty Pair Lovely Angels are always your go-to for Battle Bikini, offering full protection with a transparent polymer sheath.
