Ugh... not sure what's awesome about women in impossible poses, wearing outfits that are likely to get them killed in the fights they're about to get into.

Well it's not like the stormtroopers armor avoid getting them killed, so the girls outfit doesn't really matter.

None of the poses are anatomically impossible, or even unlikely. And when you're a force-wielder, it doesn't really matter what you wear. You're going to be just as safe butt-naked as you would be wearing an armored burkha.

Evidently these aliens have a different skeletal structure than their outwardly human-like appearance would imply...

Frankly, most of them appear to be nothing more than titillation with a Star Wars veneer, and "but they're force-users!" is the same level of excuse as the "but they're empowered women who control their own sexuality!" tripe that's been used to excuse genre pinups for a few decades now.

Hey, I'm all for some sexy people set up in sexy poses, but in a large chunk like that it all just comes undone.

Leia wore the bikini, yes, but not for very long.
